Australia will be closer to the middle even in the first half anyway. Can't see them having Australia perform in like the 3rd slot. WHUT
Lithuania closing the final then?
Weren't the two previous winners performing in the first half too? I don't get why everyone is making such a big deal. Surely, the most important thing is to perform in the middle of the running order, not too early or not too late? A 11th or 13th place in the first half is far more helpful than a place of last performer of the night for example.
I thought it couldn't happen given how many upbeat tracks we have this year compared to the last two but I'll admit that is quite a slow song-heavy first half. Good luck spacing those SVT.

OK here's my attempt at the running order:

01. Azerbaijan

02. Germany

03. The Netherlands

04. Czech Republic

05. Italy

06. Israel

07. Bulgaria

08. Poland

09. Sweden

10. Belgium

11. Australia

12. Hungary

13. France

14. Cyprus

15. Latvia

16. United Kingdom

17. Austria

18. Armenia

19. Spain

20. Malta

21. Georgia

22. Serbia

23. Russia

24. Croatia

25. Ukraine

26. Lithuania

My quick attempt at a prediction:

1. Belgium/Germany/Poland/Azerbaijan/Czech Republic/France/Hungary/Netherlands/Sweden/Italy/Bulgaria/Israel/Australia/

14. Lithuania/Latvia/Cyprus/Malta/Ukraine/Spain/Croatia/United Kingdom/Armenia/Georgia/Russia/Austria/Serbia

Serbia's song title wants me to put it last. Though Armenia could also be a good closer.

Oh god the first half does sound a lot more ballady

Serbia and Ukraine are going to stand out much more now

Don't make Croatia the sacrificial lamb please ;_;

Is how I would do it but the actual thing may not resemble this at all.

I'd like to see something like:

01 Belgium: Laura Tesoro - "What's the Pressure"

02 Hungary: Freddie - "Pioneer" (get this UTTER SHIT out of the way, but I can see the death slot just as easily going to Germany)

03 Poland: Michal Szpak - "Colour of Your Love"

04 Netherlands: Douwe Bob - "Slow Down"

05 Bulgaria: Poli Genova - "If Love Was a Crime"

06 France: Amir - "J'ai cherché"

07 Israel: Hovi Star - "Made of Stars"

08 Azerbaijan: Samra - "Miracle"

09 Sweden: Frans - "If I Were Sorry"

10 Australia: Dami Im - "Sound of Silence"

11 Germany: Jamie-Lee - "Ghost"

12 Italy: Francesca Michielin - "No Degree of Separation"

13 Czech Republic: Gabriela Gunčíková - "I Stand"

14 Georgia: Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz - "Midnight Gold"

15 Malta: Ira Losco - "Walk on Water"

16 Serbia: Sanja Vučić ZAA - "Goodbye (Shelter)"

17 Lithuania: Donny Montell - "I've Been Waiting for This Night"

18 United Kingdom: Joe & Jake - "You're Not Alone"

19 Russia: Sergey Lazarev - "You Are the Only One"

20 Ukraine: Jamala - "1944"

21 Croatia: Nina Kraljić - "Lighthouse"

22 Latvia: Justs - "Heartbeat"

23 Cyprus: Minus One - "Alter Ego"

24 Armenia: Iveta Mukuchyan - "LoveWave"

25 Spain: Barei - "Say Yay!"

26 Austria: Zoë - "Loin d'ici" (D'ACCORD *.*)

I'll go for a prediction rather than my own personal opinion and that prediction is as follows:

01 Belgium

02 Israel

03 Azerbaijan

04 Hungary

05 Germany

06 Czech Republic

07 Poland

08 Bulgaria

09 Sweden

10 Italy

11 The Netherlands

12 Australia

13 France

14 Croatia

15 United Kingdom

16 Armenia

17 Georgia

18 Austria

19 Lithuania

20 Ukraine

21 Cyprus

22 Malta

23 Latvia

24 Spain

25 Serbia

26 Russia

I don't know something like that, I just have this feeling they are going to push Russia to the win as much as possible. Lithuania is of course the logical and perfect closer though!

I think they're very unlikely to put a track they're pushing for the win last considering how hit and miss the slot's been!
Has it ever missed with songs expected to do well? It's generally disastrous for songs that are completely unliked anyway but obviously Italy did well off the back of it last year. No other favourites who recently performed last come to mind.

MOLLY!

Statistically 16-24 is far safer ground. I'm guessing there's less chance of the audience starting to flag by that point.

I'd consider the running order pretty irrelevant to that disaster honestly. I guess performing last not salvaging things for her says something.
It's fair to say Molly massively underperformed in the final slot when expected to do much, much better.
My pet theory on the slot is that last is great if you're nothing like any of the tracks that have gone on before, but not really ideal if it is, as at that point a fair proportion of the audience just wants it over with so you need to be bringing something new to the table to hold their attention.
