Promoting a 4th single really isn't ever a priority for an artist. If there'd been no promo for LMLY or Black Magic I'd be annoyed but even the fact that they did a new remix of Hair is excellent. They're probably having breaks now because they're going straight into recording/ releasing as new era / re-release.

Vas on Popjustice said the extreme need for promo is a Stan thing, and most well established artists need very little.

I'm not saying they should have done the amount of promo they did for BM or LMLY obviously, but at least 1 or 2 tv performances, a live loung, idk.. anything to try to boost the song.

"well established artists need very little" yeah, I don't like this tho, cause I always want to see them perform as it is their biggest strenght.

A Live Lounge would be great. I remember they were meant to do one a few months ago but they had to cancel it because a couple of them got sick

Up to #4 in rolling airplay today. Probably it's last day on Radio 1 playlist though, but at least they gave it really strong support this time - hopefully they continue to play it quite a bit. They didn't play LMLY or SLS much after they were off the playlist.

Hair #8 in New Zealand! Wow! Probably gonna be their next gold maybe platinum single there.

Also #25 in Australia! They've got a really nice moment going

4th week on the R1 A list for Hair :o never expected that!

Also ends the week at #3 on the AirPlay charts.

Wow that is a pleasant surprise! Never expected a month on the A List for a song that hasn't reached Top 10

Yeah, I'm quite glad they're cottoning on to the fact that failure to go top 10 =/= flop in this climate. IIRC, 'Stressed Out' got an insane run on the A-list despite peaking at #12.

I'm genuinely shocked at R1's support for 'Hair' though, since they obviously weren't keen on SLS, and it's not like the girls performed at the Big Weekend or have done any live lounges recently to bolster their support. Perhaps it's the Sean Paul impact. ;)

Since last year, going top 20 is the new going top 10. Unless it's with a held back release multiple weeks top 20 it seen as a big hit now.

Not too bad :) I wonder if we could have a week where streaming data was missing from the eotw chart, and help Hair get a higher peak like LMLY

all these weeks top 20 is great though, and another week on the A-list is phenom

Very weird to see them above Adele!
263,739 sales now. Could well overtake DNA's sales next week, which is probably as high as it will go to be honest. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it overtakes LMLY

I can see it overtaking LMLY, just. Or getting close. I really do think it'll hit 400k at least

I can definitely see it going Gold but it may take a while to get there
I think just because so many people have a copy of the album, and LMLY is pre-album, I think hair will fall short of LMLY's sales, but definitely think it will go gold
Yeah by the time Hair could potentially be Gold the album will either be double platinum or very close to it. The one thing that could help get it just above is that fact the single version is different to the album version

Really disappointed we didn't any remixes for this. This and SLS are the first singles since How Ya Doin not to have gotten a remix. :(
