I was chatting to Jay earlier about this. Two of my favourite icons, but both have pushed upcoming LM singles out of the iTunes top 10 annoyingly. At least they're both artists I adore.

They're close to Meghan's #10, hopefully by being added to Radio1 today they can overtake her.

Sadly not added to the R1 playlist this week.

Not insensitive but when you compare Heroes, Purple Rain and When Doves Cry to Secret Love Song and Hair, I think I know which set I'd rather have in the top 10 :P

At least the song is still basically #9 on iTunes when you ignore all the Prince singles

I imagine it might fall a bit next week, what with the Prince frenzy and Radio 1 not having playlisted yet, but hopefully it'll climb the week after.

I think it should stay around that area or even rise a little bit.

 

The Prince frenzy isn't really going to be a thing I don't think. You need to remember how much of an impact Spotify has on the charts nowadays and him not having his songs on there is going to be a real issue. Of course 'Purple Rain' will push them down and 'When Doves Cry' and 'Kiss' may also do better than 'Hair' but it will only be three of his songs out-peaking 'Hair' next week at most. Also without all the Prince entries they are currently #09 on iTunes so are selling better than they were last week already.

Happy with 31 for this week, hopefully should see it upper top 20 in a couple of weeks :cheer:
