What tends to happen is that Hair is in a good position in the midweek update then falls in the second half of the week. Even if 10 is its peak I'll be happy with that. I'm pretty confident it will eventually go Gold

That is because streaming is missing very often from 1 or 2 days, which will get added later and they have lower streaming so naturally they'll fall

Oh, how disappointing, especially if #21 ends up being its Spotify peak. Shame they've yet to get a proper streaming hit. Perhaps it'll rise again if they do get a BGT performance.

It will rise if it gets a BGT performance for sure, but now it's free-falling on Spotify, I do worry if the performance will be a little too late for a top 10 peak.

 

I wonder why they don't connect with the streaming audiences.

Increased airplay should start helping it no?

I've just been told be a source that LM are not performing on BGT, and there in fact won't be any promo for it, with the tour happening etc. :cry:

 

It's still done really well for a 4th single and I'm glad they released something. Top 20 is still fantastic and I'm sure it'll sell at least 300k. Two #11s for this era is going to HURT, looking back, though.

 

They should reduce it to 59p IMO.

The fandom is going to freak out. And tbh now I'm very disapointed with the timing of this era. I'd be very ok with the rushing the tour and with this, 2 big single opportunities getting no promo if that meant a new album by the end of the year. But now they had a tour, wasted the opportunity to make sls bigger than BM, hair could have been pretty big too and no album till 2017?

 

And I was going to ask about discounting yesterday. Why do they never do it? I mean, good for them for getting the full coins for a song, but maybe discounting something like SLS could get it up on iTunes again

I think Simon is pushing RnB for the final. I'm really disappointed because I had #11 peakers, but I didn't think a single 4 would do more than top 30, so it's still done well, and it's helped keep the album selling. We're only about 50k away from double platinum now.

 

Let's hope it isn't a C-B-A-OUT situation and Radio 1 give it another week.

Yes, I know, I was trying to be positive. Though it will be performed in front of 90,000 people. At least we'll get a HD performance that's not from the tour. But now I'm pretty sure they'll just remake the tour performance that is very meh
