Fresh from providing 'Her Portrait In Black' for the soundtrack to Underworld: Evolution, Atreyu's new album 'A Death-Grip On Yesterday' is out this week.

 

I'd call it something of a lesson in brevity - they only need 33 minutes and nine tracks to get the message across. That might sound like pretty crap value for money, but it's well worth it - the version I got comes with a DVD featuring masses of stuff.

 

So yeah, if you're a fan of these guys, or metalcore in general, you should probably be checking this out. If you're unsure, there's a track on the CD that comes with the latest issue of Rock Sound.

I've never really been sure about Atreyu to be honest, I like some Avenged Sevenfold (but get somewhat put off by the fact that they come across like a bunch of utter redneck tits...) and Bullet for My Valentine, but Atreyu kinda leave me a tad cold.....
