Zara Larsson has had one of the biggest success stories this year, and it didn't even begin this year! After the success of "Never Forget You" in Europe, it was time for this song to smash the charts, and internationally, it really did smash. While it's taking a bit of time to get this released in the US, I had a feeling it can do well there as well.

A surprising remix of Imany's "Don't Be So Shy" surfaced on YouTube and eventually began to chart high in France and make the top spot in Poland. Quite a remarkable feat similar to the surprise dance hits back in 2014. It's bound to be released in the UK - are you ready for it, Brits?

The vampy LA-based band Transviolet began gaining popularity through endorsements by artists such as Katy Perry and Harry Styles (as well as having their song played on a Google Play commercial). "New Bohemia" is more an example of the latter giving such songs popularity.

Up 9 spots to #17 is the overnight international smash "7 Years" by Danish alternative band Lukas Graham. This song is known for its sentimentality and looking back at the joys of life and the advice we got as we grew. This seems like the perfect exit song for many graduating classes this year, don't you think?

Chart Contender Of The Year #4: Jason DeRulo - "If It Ain't Love"
