8. Fuse ODG ft. Sean Paul (:wub:) - Dangerous Love

({3}-7-8-12-11-15-18-18-20-25-31-30-36-39-44-55-62-68-73R(6)->19)

This track was the third hit from Fuse, who is arguably the most influential African artist in the charts at the moment, with 5 top 10 hits under his belt. This track was a fantastic summer bop and featured the brilliant words of Sean Paul, which made the song even better for myself - my love for Sean Paul dates back years so even when this came out I was DELIGHTED.

The Reggae/Dance vibes to this track are so good or a summers day and I still give this a listen once in a while. For me it was one of the defining songs of summer 2k14 :D

9. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ft. Ray Dalton - Can't Hold Us

(53-46-38-33-12-5-{3}-5-4-4-7-9-11-14-17-22-25-27-24-27-34-37-37-35-44-47-53-51-51-54-56-63-71-63R(9)-74-73-61->37)

This track gives me MAJOR 2013 throwbacks, and even one listen takes me back to that year and brings vivid memories of it too. This song is truly one of the best songs I've ever known, the backing music is so addictive and the combination of Ryan Lewis' production with the different vocals from Ray Dalton and the rap from Macklemore (which is always going to be the highlight of the track) make this a memorable song in more ways that one.

It peaked at number three in the charts and had a very impressive run, fuelled by the previous success of Thrift Shop.

10. Klingande - Jubel

I love this track, and I was surprised to see it do so well as it did. The summer vibes in it were big all over Europe, and it was the first mainstream tropical house hit I loved, and actually I think it was one of the first to cross over to the UK, and subsequently artists like Kygo started getting big.

11. Fuse ODG ft Wyclef Jean - Antenna

Wow, this song was everywhere in the summer of 2013, and it was a real fave of mine. It started my three year old love affair with Fuse ODG's consistent dancehall vibes and was really one of the soundtracks to my summer back then. The playful remix with Wyclef was my favourite version, though, it was a shame that was video only and wasn't the version that charted.

12. Sigma - Nobody To Love

There was something about this track that just felt so... clean. The vocals were so crisp and really addictive and the anthemic vibes given by the tracks were a perfect compliment to the warming days of 2014. I was so glad to see this track get to number one and have the success that it did. Sigma never fail to deliver, and they have still produced a couple more huge hits since then that I've loved. :D

13. Stylo G - Soundbwoy

This track was SO GOOD at the time. In the summer of 2013 this charted and Radio 1 absolutely killed it, not that I was complaining. The lyrics were so catchy and it had so many positive vibes that I couldn't resist adding it to my list. It's a shame to see that Stylo will probably never have a hit again.

14. Tom Odell - Hold Me

This track charted in 2013, and was a really nice chilled tune, it was a shame that it didn't do better. This was the first top 40 single for Tom Odell, and the first of many, as this triggered him to become one of the most well known indie singers in Britain. I really liked this song and still give it a listen every now and again.

Mate, Soundbwoy is like one of my favourite songs ever!! Couldn't get enough of it. Love Dangerous Love, Can't Hold Us, Nobody To Love and Antenna too - some of my favourite songs of the decade for sure.

15. Sigma ft Paloma Faith - Changing

This track was AMAZING. Back in 2014 I was obsessed with this in a time where Paloma Faith was big, on the back of Only Love Can Hurt Like This, and her big, loud vocals complimented the almost retro drum and bass backing perfectly. With a catchy, memorable chorus this was one of my favourite tracks of August 2014.

Hi mdh, had a good read of this thread so far!

Hideaway is incredible! (But I think Giant In My Heart is EVEN better). Hey Porsche is such a jam & still listen to it regularly!

Jubel is utterly sublime too :heart: one I didn't appreciate enough at the time really. Soundbwoy too like Hey Porsche, reminds me of my final year at Uni :D

The ONE blot so far is Take Me To Church :puke2: :P

Look forward to more of these!
