09.0 Perfume - Great song. Marked down to due some strange lyrics and dodgy vocal production.

04.0 It Should Be Easy (Ft. Will I Am) - Tragic but not as terrible as what's to come.

02.0 Tik Tik Boom ( Ft. TI) - Some seriously questionable lyrical content.

01.0 Bodyache - Only given a 1 due to inability to mark more than one -1. I don't she is singing on ANY part of this.

07.0 Til It's Gone - Lovely throwback to the Oops album. But once again marked down due to Britney not singing on it.

-1.0 Passenger - Do I even need to.

03.0 Chillin' With You ( Ft. Jamie Lynn) - A pointless attempt at making the record more "personal" and "endearing".

09.5 Don't Cry - A song with actual emotion and actual Britney. Lovely throwback to the Britney album.

08.0 Brightest Morning Star - A sweet song, but the lack of Britney on the chorus and final adlibs is actually upsetting considering the nature of the song.

09.5 Hold On Tight - Lovely, obvious Britney-penned track.

07.0 Now That I Found You - A nice closer, but the trend-chasing nature of the song is so dreary for Britney.

 

In conclusion:

-> Her worst album ever.

You can tell it's Britney singing when you hear the shrillness in her voice (i.e. it cracks). She is not singing on the Brightest Morning Star chorus or Til It's Gone. If you believe it's her then you don't know her voice.

Well, that's kinda the point.. Myah sounds very much like Britney.

 

But in Bodyache, Til It's Gone & Passenger etc you can hear that she pronounces words slightly different to how Britney does.

Plus, Myah uses her throat to produce a note which most people would use to impersonate Britney but she herself doesn't actually do it.

 

It's very, very convincing but if you listen very closely you can hear it's Myah and not Britney.

It's not like her voice is that hard to replicate though, especially when you add in all the voice effects she tends to use.

The only thing I'd argue with is 'BMS'. I believe it's her voice with it being in the background instead of in the forefront,

 

But, I agree. MESS. It's such a rushed album that tarnishes her amazing discography of albums.

 

What doesn't makes sense to me is that she sounds great on the vocals for 'Pretty Girls'. It's rumored that Myah was called in to complete vocals for tracks because Britney was not in full agreence with releasing and promoting an album. In fact the only tracks Britney put full to 90% vocals on is 'Alien', 'Work Bitch', 'Perfume', 'ISBE', 'Don't Cry', 'BMS' 'HOT' and 'NTIFY'. (Notice half of those tracks are bonus tracks.

 

This is not for certain, but it's said she recorded enough tracks for an EP release, but RCA pushed for a full album since it was her first release on their label. Not to mention several tracks were dropped once WILL U STOP came in brought in his producers to finish songs instead of the ones Britney originally enlisted.

That's because Myah did the background vocals on the whole song , but Myah is brought to the same volume as Britney on the bridge.
