After the success of their Top 3 single 'In The Morning', Razorlight's self-titled second album debuted at Number 1 for two weeks and reached platinum sales within just three weeks of release. This second single, 'America', is an anthem in the making, a poignant account of the band's well documented trials and tribulations during their American tour last year.

 

Clue: America is a big place. It has lots of states. Do you know a song that has an American state in the title?

Best track on the album by far and possibly my favourite track Razorlight have ever done. :o I hope it goes top 5 next week. ^_^

It is currently #2 on I-Tunes.

I'm sure you couldn't buy this track as a download until wednesday night. :unsure: but yeah I hope it'll do real big things and boost their album sales tons as even though I know Johnny has a huge ego thye deserve their sucess. ^_^

Loving this too, better than the rather abysmal ITM :D

 

The album will no doubt sell massive off the back of this, even though it isnt great :/

When the guitars go all quiet it sounds like a poor mans version of "Song To The Siren" by This Mortal Coil, and when it tries to go all upbeat it sounds abysmal.

i remember seeing razorlight in Virgin megastore in london in late june. And they played a few tracks from this album, i knew straight away that this would be a single :).

I really loved this track when I first got the album is it was a clear stand-out track but I've just got so bored of it.

 

Either way I reckon it will get the a top 5 hit ... it's Radio One A-Listed and getting massive video play so it could do really well.
