In the programme for the Carol Concert Darius did in Glasgow Cathedral it was printed that Funny Girl was filmed for a Christmas release! I've been keeping my eyes open but nothing.....as yet!! Maybe it will be next Christmas! :D

Starting to think your right. Nearly a year since the tour ended and we're still waiting to see the filming of it.

Are you sure it's not the original film they are showing. I mean if its the musical darius was in great like you said at long last. I just don't want us getting our hopes up and then for it to be the original film instead of the musical we are all waiting for

Oh yeah your quite right :yahoo: at long last :yahoo:

Oh yeah your quite right at long last :yahoo: please ignore the post directly above. Really looking forward to seeing this :yahoo: vue cinemas here I come :yahoo: but I'm just wondering weather they will show it on sky arts or go to dvd after its been in the cinema like they did with from here to eternity. Mind you that was at Christmas time but at least people who didn't get the chance to see it in the cinema would get to see it eventually :D

I've asked to be informed when they can confirm when and where 'Funny Girl. is being shown

I've had a look at listings at my local vue cinema and it says it will be shown there on 24th October

Someone posted on the Facebook page that they were going to wait to book tickets till they were certain that Darius was in it but I thought they only filmed when it was Darius playing Nick? I hope I'm right as I didn't get to see it in the theatre and I've been waiting ages for it to be released in the cinema as have many others I'm sure and I'd definitely be able to get to a cinema where it is being shown as there is one right near me.

Darius is definitely in it Polly - it says it's starring Sheridan Smith and Darius Campbell

Julie

Tickets booked! Can’t believe it’s finally here. Sue

I know me too. We've been waiting forever seems like :yahoo: will it be on for a while or will it be just a one day event like from here to eternity :D

Is it just in cinemas for one day like from here to eternity was or is it in cinemas for a while because some cinemas say from 24th October making me think it will be on for a while

For one night only :( hope there will be a DvD :) or be on Sky1 or sky arts like darius promised.

Does anyone know if there will be a DvD or if it will be on tv at some point after being in cinemas? Or maybe they will put it on sky cinema premiere channel on the same day as its in the cinema because they do that sometimes when a film comes out at the cinema they put it on sky Premier on the same day :D

Well never managed to see the show:( maybe the next one. break a leg for the final show

Can't believe it's a year yesterday that the tour ended :o

On funny girl website they have a list of cinemas it's on at but also at the bottom of the page they advertise channels as well including sky arts so maybe they will show it on there on the same day or soon. I hope so :D

Bit of a strange question but will it be shown on Facebook as well on the 24th because when I put funny girl into Google all the cinema venues come up but it also puts Facebook up as an event on the 24th or is that just meaning what facebook have already put up about it being in cinemas?
Tweeted sky arts about if they have an update on when they will be showing it. I'll let you all know when they tweet me back. :D
