Tweeted sky arts about if they have an update on when they will be showing it. I'll let you all know when they tweet me back. :D

Still no news on when it will be on sky arts. I wonder if there is any way of finding out when it will be on?

Not had confirmation but something is telling me it will be broadcast on sky arts on the same day as the cinema just read something that says funny girl in cinemas and on sky arts. Sky arts is producing it so maybe it will be the same day hope so.

Funny Girl is being screened 'globally' on 24th October, not just in the UK!!......That's got to be good promotion for Darius for whatever he has coming up next! :cheer:

Great it's going to be a global event :w00t: will it be on sky arts on the same night do you know? . I know they produced it and I know it will be on tv at some point I just don't know when.

Just heard back from funny girl facebook page. They said there isn't a date for when it will be on tv yet but they will let me know when it will be on. Looking forward to watching it in the cinema but I wanted to know when it will be on tv so I can record it and keep watching it. :D Maybe there will be a DvD as well :D

I've messaged asking whether there are any plans to bring it out on DVD afterwards. I'll let you all know what they say. :)

OK going off how long it took sky arts to air fhte after it was in cinemas it was about four months, which means we won't get to see funny girl again till about the end of February:( unless they bring out a dvd.

Went last night to see Funny Girl and I’d forgotten just how good it was! Throughly enjoyed it. The cameras could obviously get so much nearer to them and their facial expressions were brilliant. Really don’t want this to be the end of his theatre career. Sue

I'm sure it won't be the last one he does. If there is anything in the theatre that he's interested in doing I'm sure he will do it. I look forward to whatever he has coming up next. l would love it if he got to do les mis at some point it's his dream role. :)

Today's the day :yahoo: excited but at the same time sad because after today after 3 years funny girl is gone and who knows how long it will be before we hear about anything else

Did you see it Polly? You seemed so excited but haven't commented on what you thought!?

I thought it was wonderful! I had seen it four times on stage both with Sheridan and Natasha but it translated to the big screen so well because all the facial expressions could be seen. The action was much closer and it incorporates every emotion! Hilarious but sometimes so sad!

Sheridan is incredible....such a bundle of energy and she and Darius work so well together  Even D's dancing had considerably improved!

Darius looked so handsome ......and it was a real bonus having him talk all about his audition at the Menier Chocolate Factory during the interval. I hope this is included if a DVD is released.

Apparently Natasha Barnes was at our cinema with her parents....I didn't speak to her but friends of ours did......such a shame she couldn't somehow be included! :(

I thought it was weird that D's name did not appear on the credits until the second page!! and also strange why he did not promote it in any way......I can only assume that he is too involved in his film production work and that theatre/music is not his top priority at this time! Having said that.....as Funny Girl was shown all over the world I hope offers will be flooding in after seeing/hearing how wonderful he is on screen! :D
