August 21, 20168 yr Poor Darius. I just hope he's sensible and doesn't risk more serious damage by carrying on regardless. Did I post this review before? http://sharmanprince.blogspot.co.uk/2016/0...ndon-28716.html
August 21, 20168 yr I don't think you did but it sounds like someone who doesn't want to like something and has already made up their mind.
October 4, 20168 yr Author Ah yes...Last week Meg ham. I just couldn'the get down from Scotland to see it,as my daughter has been working long hrs and not had a window to accompany me and stay over weekend in London. However, she said "don't worry mum". "When he comes to Scotland, we can go to see him in Edinburgh &Glasgow "! But your news that he wasn' doing the tour, has now put paid to that! If you hear ,Meg ham of any other events,he will be singing at,preferably in Scotland, I would appreciate it if you would let me know,or do you think he will be 'off' after the show to do his producing stint, matey lasting a long time;in which case at my age, I might be lucky to ever see him in concert again.ha! Do wish his focus was on the singing, purely for selfish reasons of course. Apart from that,I honestly believe, that to be successful you must be totally focused on what you excellent at,but Darius has a different perspective &who knows, matey that will work for him and I wish him every success in all his many ventures. One thing'so for sure.He was born to be a star and with all that talent I hope heo entertain us fomany years to come.
October 5, 20168 yr He is still talking about a new album but it'll have to fit in his role as producer. It's a shame you missed 'Funny Girl' it was very good.
October 7, 20168 yr Just today and tomorrow and then Funny Girl is over for Darius. It's been great to see him on stage. I look forward to his next adventure
October 8, 20168 yr Author Hi Megham, thanks for commiserations. Yes, am so dissappointed I couldn't get down to London to see DARIUS perform &lulled myself into a false s.o.so thinking he would be doing some of the tour and come up to Scotland. It's been nice though to get your updates and information which is really appreciate, and long may it continue. Would be great if Darius could bring us a new album, buthe since he is 'all over the place',I won't hold my breath. Hope he has a good experience producing.yet another string to his bow,and no doubt we will hear how it all goes. Wonder if it's here or in the states! . .

October 9, 20168 yr Thanks, megham. I feel gutted for fans who won't get a chance to see Darius in Funny Girl. I really thought they'd have filmed it for a Dvd/Bluray for Christmas. Does anyone know anything about Darius's planned projects? Will he have to be mainly in the USA? I can't see Darius ever giving up live performances. He has cemented his reputation as a West End leading man. I bet there will be another role which he won't be able to refuse Right now, though, he's got his foot in the production door and it must be really challenging and exciting for him. I wish him all the very best. The show CDs are great but it's never too late for the long awaited Darius album.
October 9, 20168 yr We'll have to wait and see. Darius is looking forward to the future which, he feels, must have music in it
October 11, 20168 yr http://www.whatsonstage.com/london-theatre...-ann_41983.html Chance to vote for 'Funny Girl' as best musical
October 11, 20168 yr Unfortunately I can't remember what my BBC ID is . I don't know if the site will let me re-register. I'll try later on.
October 14, 20168 yr Author I registered and voted. Wonder-is Darius still in this country?or has he gone back to America with Natasha. Anyone know? Reason I am saying this is that one of you mentioned a while back, something about him still to do an event here and am wondering whereabouts and when.would love to get a chance to see him perform.
October 15, 20168 yr He damaged his back and was unable to go ahead. He even had to have time of the show. Hopefully, he'll recover fully nut it may take a while. You have to be careful with a couple of slipped discs.
October 17, 20168 yr Author I take it,Megham, that when you commented on Darius's back, that it was your way of letting me know the answer to my enquiry about the 'event'. Yes,can be really painfull if disc is 'slipped ".I can identify and emphasise with the pain he must be in, as at the age of 25, (many moons ago ) i was in hospital for quite a time with 'slipped disc" with my body encased in plaster for about 6 months. That was then , and I don't know how treatment has progressed nowadays.Thing is, when you are young, they will not operate, because of the risk of paralysis, and I assume advice remains the same. Physio to build up and strengthen the surrounding muscles to compensate for the damage, makes a huge difference in returning to normal, but when you have been a really healthy fit person, you tend to look back, thinking "if only I hadn'the done this or that". If anyone can cope and do recover, it's Darius! And if there is one piece of advice I may offer- "walk through the pain" and visit an osteopath. Hope he makes a speedy recovery and lives to 'fight another day'.
October 17, 20168 yr He had to have 2 weeks of from performing 'Funny Girl' then treatment at least twice a week and one of the dance numbers was altered. He wasn't free to arrange the gig or find premises. I'm think he'll be fine, he has a lot of people trying to make sure he doesn't over do things
October 18, 20168 yr I hope he listens to them. Darius and 'take it easy' just don't go together! Sue
October 18, 20168 yr I think, inthis, he doesn't have the same choice and even he has to know he has to take care. He does have things he must get on with in America and he does really want to finish and release the album. He played 3 of the new tracks at the gig he did 2nd July
January 11, 20178 yr http://www.edp24.co.uk/going-out/full_cast...rwich_1_4845466 I'm happy Darius has decided to do some of the tour always thought he would but gutted that the closest to me is stoke on trent and i think even thats too far  Would of liked it better if he'd of done the north west dates
