Poor Sean Paul got paid a fortune to go into a studio 12 months ago to record a load of 8 line sections over a click track with no knowledge of where they'd end up!

If we want to go back to before the digital era, Missy Elliott was uncredited on the Christina Aguilera/Pink/Lil' Kim/Mya supergroup version of "Lady Marmalade" that hit #1 in 2001. Also Justin Timberlake's vocal was uncredited on Black Eyed Peas' "Where is the Love" in 2003 despite that being one of its main selling points at the time.

This is another thing actually although it's less what the topic is about, cause these artists were never credited (like the vocalists on Avicii's songs), rather than the OCC omitting them, but it's an interesting point for sure!

Hahaha, and poor Sean Paul couldn't give a monkeys what the OCC does or doesn't credit while he's swimming around in his pool of gold coins like Scrooge McDuck

He may not care but this is a chart topic being discussed on a chart forum so the points are still very much valid and relevant! :magic:

Oh yes of course they are valid, but it still doesn't stop the frequently used prefix "poor" from seeming quite amusing. Nothing wrong with a little light banter :P

Anyone mentioned Maggie Reilly yet? Had a #4 hit in 1983 with Moonlight Shadow, except, erm, technically didn't...
