HEIDI RANGE, KEISHA BUCHANAN and AMELLE BERRABAH told me they are disgusted by the shocking “size zero†slimming craze sweeping through Hollywood and appearing on catwalks. But they pledged never to go down the super skinny road, revealing they recently binged on doners after a glitzy bash in London’s West End. Amelle said: “We went to a premiere the other week and afterwards we were starving. We had the dodgiest kebab ever. “It was tortilla-style and it wasn’t the best — but we do like a bit of doner.†The skinny model fascination has struck a nerve with the girls. They are unashamed to say they eat normal grub for girls their age. And they look absolutely brilliant on it — as proved by my pictures from the video for new single Easy. Keisha raged: “I have a 14-year-old cousin. I asked her if she wanted something to eat and she said ‘No’ because she had to watch her figure. I was never like that at 14. It is really bad.†Red alert ... Heidi Range Heidi added: “This whole size zero thing really upsets me. I was at a hospital the other week and a lady came over and asked for an autograph for her 13-year-old daughter who was in a clinic with anorexia. “It is so unrealistic. There are going to be loads of young girls now desperately trying to get to a size zero like all these Hollywood stars. It is so sad. It upsets me.†Keisha also told me she learned a hard lesson with crash dieting when she was a teenager. She said: “When I was 16, for some strange reason, I didn’t eat hardly anything for about two weeks. I had a slice of bread a day, that was it. “I was getting private tuition. My teacher had left the house and I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I was in pain for eight hours. I had to wait for my mum to come back. “I tried to call an ambulance and reached for the phone but it dropped on the floor and I couldn’t move from the spot. “I was screaming the house down, it was horrible. “I thought I was going to die. I don’t know why I was doing it, I wanted a flat stomach or something like that.†Suga rush ... Amelle Berrabah loves her grub Amelle added: “I’m glad BEYONCE has put on a few pounds. I think men like women who have a bit of a bottom on them. “Dieting is obsessive, it takes over your life thinking about what you can and cannot eat.†During my chat with the girls, Keisha also let me in on a guilty secret — she has a crush on X Factor judge SIMON COWELL. I always wondered why she was the only remaining single member of the band. But given her taste for high-waistband sporting middle-aged men, now I know why. Heidi celebrates her three-year anniversary with TV presenter fella DAVE BERRY next week and Amelle is happily settled with her Aldershot bloke Freddie Fuller. But Keisha’s time on the shelf without a man is clearly beginning to take its toll on her taste. She told me: “I’ve got a thing for Simon Cowell. Something’s changed about him. “He looks different in the new X Factor — I really like him. He has pulled the high waistband down. I like the eyebrow thing he has got going on.†Disturbing ... I spoke to the girls before the video shoot for new single Easy, which is out on November 6. The girls’ singles collection, Overloaded, will hit stores on November 13.
