May 24, 20169 yr Author Richard X Richard X @RichardXBM @willyoung @101musiq @jimeliot Nice find, great vibes. Vocalist sounds somewhat familiar but can’t quite place … Gareth something?
May 24, 20169 yr Thanks TT. Haven't been on much lately. I'm not really interested this year in outdoor gigs or racecourses. My husband has dodgy knees now and can't stand for long periods. I've been catching up with a backlog of books. Really pleased he's doing new stuff - sounds very much like his music he did with Richard X. Edited May 24, 20169 yr by munchkin
May 26, 20169 yr Author Great to have Mr Popjustice on board. And it feels like mystery: who or what is behind 101's enigmatic and amazing 'Forever'? http://www.popjustice.com/briefing/who-or-...though-isnt-it/ … 10:56 No mistaking that vocal. : From the Popjustice site. A YouTube account with twelve subscribers, a Twitter profile with 31 followers, and an enigmatic video for a song that runs for just two minutes and six seconds then suddenly stops. That’s pretty much all there is to know about ‘Forever’ by new electronic pop act 101, on the surface at least. We know your game, 101. We know it all too well. It’s an evergreen pop trick: launch something new under the veil of A Mysterious Project, allow suspicious minds to concoct elaborate theories about who’s behind the whole thing, then do a big reveal. Obviously this type of project tends to appear and disappear without so much as a by-your-leave; right now the best bet is just to enjoy the tune itself and not concern yourself too much about who’s behind the whole thing. Switch it on by clicking the play button below: Will young people eventually claim responsibility for 101? Or will it be old people? Is ‘Forever’ just the first step for a project that will see a succession of different vocalists appear on mysterious and incredible songs? Anything is possible. May 26, 20169 yr Author Digital Spy. So @willyoung released a *really* good pop song earlier this week under a different name: buff.ly/1Rt2j5M
May 26, 20169 yr That chorus (which we only hear once) is utterly fantastic and the best thing I've heard from him in years. Wish the track was longer though.

May 26, 20169 yr Author DS Article Will Young released a really good pop song earlier this week under a different name Who are The 101? We're all for a bit of mystery returning to the world of pop in a celebrity culture obsessed with tweeting their every movement - and this latest little surprise is one of the very best kind. The 101 are a mysterious electronic pop act who suddenly appeared online earlier this week. Their first piece of music - titled 'Forever' - currently has only 503 streams on YouTube, while their Twitter account has a humble 31 followers But if you listen carefully, that soulful tone singing over the trickling electronics is none other than Will Young. Taking a closer look at The 101's Twitter account shows that of the six people they currently follow back, Will Young is one of them. The Pop Idol winner also tweeted the track, with producer Richard X delivering the very best response. Whether Will Young is a permanent member of The 101, or they are a group of musicians who plan to work with different vocalists remains to be seen. The other artists the pop act follows on Twitter consists of Kylie Minogue, Years & Years, Ghostpoet and Wild Beasts, so make of that what you will. We do know that Will Young himself will be releasing a brand new music very very soon though. May 26, 20169 yr Author Is this a mistake or could we be seeing the beginnings of Echoes part 2? From Loverboy magazine. New music from @willyoung & @RichardXBM aka 101. LISTEN HERE: (link: http://bit.ly/1TYFcBY) bit.ly/1TYFcBY Ps. Probably got their facts wrong as they refer to releasing an ep later this year which has to be the covers. Since leaving Sony last year, Will Young has given birth to his ‘Butterfly’, the awesome 85% Proof, and is now ready to move on. Working with Richard X he is testing the waters under the cryptic name 101 before releasing an EP later this year. More of this please, William. Edited May 26, 20169 yr by truly talented
