October 10, 20177 yr I'm baffled why 'Alone' isn't getting much love on here? It's so BIG, it's beautiful and emotive. Everywhere else but here I've seen it getting such acclaim.
October 10, 20177 yr saw her here in paris and she played 'sam' as the last song and it was the biggest pile of dross i've ever heard. also co written by ed sheeran. midnight is prob her best to date tho and am SO excited for the album
October 11, 20177 yr Alone is my favourite so far :wub: Like both Midnight & Selfish Love but something keeps stopping me from returning to them for some reason! Although have just become slightly more interested in Selfish Love now I know that there’s a Spanish version! Midnight is really sonically interesting but sort of hard to fully warm to for some reason?
October 12, 20177 yr Really enjoying what I've heard from the album so far. 'Alone' is stunning. I've pre-ordered the album (a first for me!) and booked tickets to see her on tour. LOVE HER.
October 12, 20177 yr Midnight kind of squashed my expectations for the era because I found it so dull. ‘Alone’ is bit better but nothing is anywhere near Tough Love and Champagne Kisses from the last era.

October 12, 20177 yr There's something holding me back from properly loving 'Alone'. Like, it's clear it is a beautiful song and I feel it has the makings of being a decent hit for her, but I'm not being wowed by it for some reason. Maybe it'll click at some point but so far I just see it as a solid album track.

October 20, 20177 yr Just listening to the album loved all three of the singles so far and not disappointed one bit by the album. 'Sam' is beautiful
October 20, 20177 yr Heard the album for the first time and I really liked Your Domino, Hearts, Finish Where We Started and Sam out of the stuff I hadn't heard. Really good album though!

October 20, 20177 yr What a gorgeous album, she has delivered the goods yet again :wub: Only listened twice so far but my highlights so far are "Your Domino" and "Sam" but there is not a single weak track on the album and she picked the best three choices for pre-album singles too (Selfish Love > Midnight > Alone, I think) :heart: SO excited to see her in March now :cheer:
October 20, 20177 yr I'm not loving this album as much as I should in full. I think it's because I love her so much and I think she could have made one of the best records of the year and yet it's held down from being so with the inclusion of some dull dross like 'Sam' and 'Hearts' which are just way too nicey nicey Ed Sheeran for me. Jessie has always been pretty Radio 2, but when she first came out with 'Devotion' the material was still so boundary pushing and edgy enough to keep her feeling so cool too. I can't help but feel she's going a tad too much in just the Radio 2 direction and the end product is an album which feels like her most safe to date? I have to say though, despite feeling like a few dull tracks let it down, the standard of the highs are outstanding and there are some tracks on here that are amongst her best ever. 'Thinking About You', 'First Time' and 'Finish What We Started' are incredible and will be on repeat for a long while. I'm still also so obsessed with 'Midnight' and 'Selfish Love' too. Maybe it's because I was expecting such high quality as they are so 10/10 and then I got an 7.5/8 on a good day album.
October 24, 20177 yr Sam is absolutely stunning, it is VERY Ed Sheeran but her voice is SO beautiful it totally sells the story even when it's a bit trite and basic.
