I like this, it's a slow-burner and you really have to pay attention, but the finale is just truly shocking.... :o It's really quite a depressing and sad film....

A truly magnificent war epic.. It's really insteresting to see a film done on the Korean war, it's a war that never, ever gets mentioned in films, but it really was probably one of the most tragic conflicts of the 20th Century... I was almost in fukkin' tears watching this and just thinking about how that country was torn apart by two rival political ideologies which were really nothing to do with the Korean people themselves.

i got this on korean dvd.

however (and i think its this one) i lost momentum half way through as the film is so long its on two discs. so at the end of disc 1 had to give up tv to my dad who wanted to watch it. maybe best to watch it all at once

Hmm, it's only about two and a half hours, it's not as long as "Saving Private Ryan" or the redux version of "Apocalypse Now"...

But, yeah, there's no way you can just watch one part one day and then the other part the next day, you wont be able to keep up....
