Posted June 10, 20169 yr Another impressive project for Gary's cv. I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out. James sounds pretty excited about it. http://www.digitalspy.com/showbiz/theatre/...maintwitterpost https://www.facebook.com/Broadway/videos/10...=message_bubble
June 11, 20169 yr Author No  Hamilton will win everything probably. Going by what I've heard on the Carpool with James, the songs aren't even as good as those in FN. So unfair
June 17, 20169 yr Author I thought it was great - it had all the ingredients: touchy-feely in certain parts, hilarious in most parts -"spoiler alert: HE dies" , it had a message...And even the critics liked it, they said it was the second best opening of the Tonys. I've never seen the one they thought was the best ever, but, by their logic, Gary had some big shoes to fill and, considering he's just getting his teeth in musicals, he nailed it. People certainly seemed to love it: 95% of the reactions have been more than positive. the video already has over 2 million views: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRVwHP__qMM This collab might even get Gary a spot again on James's show. All in all, a very smart move.

All in all, a very smart move. I am glad you and many others enjoyed it. I didn't see anything original. It sounded like a hundred other generic musical numbers. Not the kind of song people are going to be singing the next day after hearing it. Maybe that was the intention. I don't blame Gary Barlow. T.he production of it and the performance could have moved to the next level. It reminded me of a school production.
