That formation switch made all the difference. Quality tactical change that by Jose. Mkhitaryan is probably gonna be looked back on as the signing of the season at this rate. Poor midweek but so often the one that makes the difference for us.

15 games unbeaten for the 11th time in the Premier League era!

Not so quality tactical change when it took Jose 4 months to start him regularly!

 not sure what you're smoking but I was referring to the switch 20mins in from 4-4-2 to 4-2-3-1 made by Mkhitaryan coming into the #10 role.

I would have liked Mhki to start more games but he was poor in the derby and got so easily bullied off the ball. It's a well established fact that it took him a year to adapt to the Bundesliga and the Premier League is on a whole different level of intensity. He worked hard, adapted and that approach is now paying dividends for us. He got the time he needed to grow his confidence and his game and he's a quality player. He's found his form far quicker than he did at Dortmund and with us involved in 4 competitions still that's fab.

It's clear you are just making up things to defend the fact Jose left him out for so long - Mykitarian had a decent first season at Dortmund, it was actually subsequent seasons when he stalled a bit, mainly due to injuries.

From Wikipedia - Mkhitaryan finished his season with nine goals and ten assists in the Bundesliga and was included in the WhoScored Bundesliga Team of the Season.[73][74] His team finished runner-up at the 2013–14 Bundesliga, and runner-up for the 2013–14 DFB-Pokal.

So once again - why was he left out for so long this season? If he had had stayed faithful to him he could have recovered from the derby (not that it was all his fault that city trounced yous) and perhaps you could be in a better position now rather than 6th?

And I don't smoke at all by the way....

^didn't even have to put any effort in to find that. Just had to look beyond Wikipedia.

It's a well documented fact, just because your bias means you don't believe it doesn't make it any less true. He picked up a thigh injury on international duty in September that carried through until mid-October which is why he abruptly got 'dropped' from the squad after the Derby. Then it was a case of waiting until the right moment to slot him back in and Europa was the perfect place. As much as I hate the Mail, they had an interview with him before the NW Derby so you can read about it in his own words, seeing as the 15m column inches to date on Jose's man-management of Mkhi haven't satisfied you.

(It's a well known figure of speech...)

I think your getting your wires crossed as to the point im trying to make -

He may have personally taken a season to settle into the way of life(as the articles suggest) but the goals and assists ratio speak for themselves - he had a good first season in Germany football wise whether he liked the German way of life is totally another thing. It doesn't say he can't start football matches and play for the club. And I've plenty of other sources as a subscriber to World Soccer who did a profile on him a few months back!

Hardly a bias against anyone only a positive criticism of your manager which I am allowed to make am I not? Maybe your biased if you feel I or even united fans can't make these points.

Very probable that Leicester City could get relegated. They look barely a shadow of their title-winning side.

Crystal Palace will stay up with Cabaye around.

I don't think so my old mate. We shall see.

Welcome to the forum my flat mate.

I don't think Leicester will get relegated but I was left with a state of shock watching that match, what a difference a year makes! I hope Claudio Ranieri doesn't get sacked.

Looks like they are going to comfortably beat Chelsea's record of worst finish for the champions of the Premier League (10th).

Most definitely bearing a winning run which doesn't look like it will come up anytime soon.
The season is basically developing into a mirror of two years ago, isn't it?

Where Leicester, Crystal Palace and Sunderland all survived and Hull got relegated?

Where Leicester, Crystal Palace and Sunderland all survived and Hull got relegated?

Let's hope it doesn't repeat itself.

I actually reckon Sunderland (and Hull) will stay up. Boro, Leicester and Palace to go down.

I think Bournemouth are one to keep an eye on too. Going to be missing Calum Wilson...

Bournemouth are definitely one to keep a eye on and could creep into the relegation battle.

Middlesbrough could find themselves in trouble as well. Swansea are definitely going down though, any team that has 3 different managers in a same relegation threatened season is doomed!
