I have not noticed the increased difficulty in being able to catch Pokemon! I have noticed that there is a bit MORE variety too but only slightly. I don't know, I quite like the difficulty in searching them out, it adds to the longevity of it all.

 

Can they PLEASE introduce trading/battling soon though!?

I just caught a Lapras, a Porygon, another Kabutos and hatched a Snorlax yesterday. Safe to say I was lovin life :wub:

I only had this problem on Saturday (where I couldn't even catch double-digit Pidgey and 70% of the Pokemon I encountered ran away) and this was before the weird update. I still caught a pretty decent Venonat and Bulbasaur and live in the suburbs so I don't see why this seems to be getting one of the lowest average ratings of any app in the App Store.

Yeah I've not updated yet but I've noticed a sudden increase in the amount of pokeballs I'm using to try and catch relatively weak pokemon. :unsure:

It's probably not huge compared to most (but I claim rural disadvantage, just syk) but I just got round to doing a ton of evolving on an egg (to go up a couple of levels, thank you Pidgeottos), but I wasn't quite prepared for this sudden difference in power compared to everything else I have when I took up my best Drowzee and Eevee. Maybe I can even get into gym battling soon.

I will love my beautiful Vaporeon (didn't even use the name trick, got lucky) and my evil less five Hypno forever until I get something better like all these multiple 1000s anyone in a big city seems to have.

I caught a CP700+ Ponyta yesterday and hatched an even stronger one just this afternoon. I think I'm on track to getting a really strong Rapidash so fingers crossed.

Still going on it casually when I go out or if I want to do some exercise but I bet that'll die off more for me when it properly gets to winter. I mean, it's likely still going strong and will be for some time, we've never had an app that big before (over half a billion downloads worldwide!) so it's not completely dead.

 

There's talk (I got quite obsessed so got really into reading the online communities and watching vids) about Gen II maybe getting released in November along with other stuff like trading and battling coming out at some point so it might pick up again next summer when it gets warm and there are more things to do in the game from a year's worth of updates.

I still play it, but I have like no desire to talk about it. There's just like, nothing to talk about. As regards how popular it is, I still see people playing it basically every time I'm out but it has definitely died down a fair bit.

I feel like Niantic is gonna try to get Gen II ready for the holiday season

You can see, the number of user who care has dropped from the mid August. Niantic an Nintendo should release other interesting game with less strict rules (like Clash of clans by supercell, i'm playing it)
