38.) Twenty One Pilots - "Streesed Out"

2nd single, Blurryface

Chart Run: 29-9-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-1-3-4-7-8-9-12-12-13-14-16-18-22-24-27-29-29-30-30-32-34-38... (33 weeks)

My name's Blurryface and I care what you think...

Twenty One Pilots have reached dizzying heights with this song, reaching six weeks at #1 and possibly breaking the record for biggest hit on the chart EVER. It's not to say I don't stan Ari and Zedd. The Skeleton Clique is just too strong for this to let up.

37.) Nick Jonas f/Tove Lo - "Close"

Lead single, Last Year Was Complicated

Chart Run: 35-31-26-21-20-18-14-10-10-10-12-17-25-37... (14 weeks)

Nick is very much known for his sensual and explicit songs. Tove Lo is known for her truthfulness and how well she expresses feeling deep in her psyche. Together they create this masterpiece that's equal parts deep and equal parts sexy.

36.) DNCE - Toothbrush"

2nd single, SWAAAY EP

Chart Run: 50-46-38-36... (4 weeks)

Now we move from one Jonas Brother to another, as we get into DNCE's latest single, "Toothbrush". It starts off as some kind of normal boy band song but evolves into a funky summer tune perfect for dozing off and laying down in a hammock or your bed.

35.) Alan Walker - "Sing Me To Sleep"

2nd single, TBA

Chart Run: 48-41-35... (3 weeks)

"Faded" has proven to be one of the biggest breakout hits of the year for Swedish producer Alan Walker, and the follow-up is no different from it. This proves to be another electrifying complextro, which is something he does well.

34.) Coldplay f/Beyoncé - "Hymn For The Weekend"

2nd single, A Head Full Of Dreams

Chart Run: 47-37-34... (3 weeks)

When Coldplay was slated to perform for Super Bowl 50 with Beyoncé, I thought that this song was going to be a main staple, considering this was huge worldwide. Now the US is trying to catch up with this, and it might be another huge hit for the British veterans. This was also helped by the release of the Alan Walker remix.

33.) ZAYN - "Like I Would"

2nd single, Mind Of Mine

Chart Run: 43-36-33... (3 weeks)

A bit of a change of pace from "Pillowtalk", this song is brooding and dark yet hopeful and loving at the same time. Which is something given that this could also be a One Direction song. Oh Zayn, some things never change.

32.) Alan Walker - "Faded"

We're not exactly sure when Alan Walker will finally release a debut album, but hopefully the recent activity he's had will spur some hope. The former Norwegian #1 "Faded" drops two spots this week.

Chart Contender Of The Week #2: The Veronicas - "In My Blood"

Back in 2014, the stellar performance of "You Ruin Me" proved to be a substantial comeback for this Australian sisterly duo. Nearly one and a half years later, they're back with the lead single for their next album, "In My Blood", which takes inspiration from the deep house sounds made popular as of recent.

Lead single, Dangerous Woman

Chart Run: 1-1-1-2-3-4-7-8-10-14-18-18-20-25-29-31... (17 weeks)

So it's not this Ariana Grande song that's getting the top spot. Not like it matters because it's already been there. Her album was released back in the middle of May, and it has blown up significantly since then.

Non-album single

Chart Run: 45-31-24-20-19-15-17-30... (8 weeks)

"La La Land" also popped up as another random hit that recently got exposure through it being a CanCon and a chilled track. Featuring the vocals of Delaney Jane, this is the second time she and Shaun Frank have been featured on the same track in the chart.

Which brings us to the next chart contender this week:

Chart Contender Of The Week #3: Drake f/Rihanna - "Too Good"

This is the second time Rihanna and Drake have collaborated on a song this year and the fourth this decade. Now normally I'd say that this would mean something else but we can never be too sure about that. Anyway, here's "Too Good", the follow-up to Drake's massive UK hit that spanned 13 weeks at #1 there and counting.

29.) Mahmut Orhan f/Sena Sener - ”Feel"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 46-45-44-40-34-32-29... (7 weeks)

Mahmut Orhan has been known for remixing the popular Game Of Thrones theme and later on produced this deep house gem with sexy violins and a more subdued Vicetone-esque drop. It also helps that this was a giant hit in BJSC.

28.) Daya - "Sit Still, Look Pretty"

2nd single - Daya EP

Chart Run: 49-47-45-41-36-33-28... (7 weeks)

Daya's breakout hit "Hide Away" was all about the shallowness of relationships nowadays, whereas this single, the follow-up to both this and "Don't Let Me Down" (which is still to come), shows that you don't really need that steady relationship with a significant other to rule the world. "Sit Still Look Pretty" is a feminist anthem that champions the idea of a strong independent female who don't need no man.

27.) Melanie Martinez - "Pity Party"

Lead single, Cry Baby

Chart Run: 49-41-31-21-21-17-15-16-16-18-27... (11 weeks)

"Pity Party" has been around pretty much since last year, but it was only on April that it began to take off slightly in the US. This former Voice alum has now made it huge in the scene following a growing presence thanks to a cult following and critical acclaim for her concept album, Cry Baby. Also, it's my party, and I'll cry if I want to.

26.) Clean Bandit f/Louisa Johnson - "Tears"

Lead single, TBA

Chart Run: 47-38-35-26... (4 weeks)

For Clean Bandit's recent return to the UK charts, they teamed up with the most recent X Factor winner Louisa Johnson to create this disco-laden "I Will Survive"-styled breakup anthem, coupled with a video with many colorful effects and usage of holi powder. Can they string themselves another hit from this collaboration? Just wait and see.

25.) David Guetta f/Zara Larsson - "This One's For You"

Non-album single

Chart Run: 41-35-27-25... (4 weeks)

With Euro 2016 drawing to a close, it only seems fitting that this song would be smashing at the countries who made it. To those who played rather well to make it this far, congratulations. Other than that, this is Zara's fourth entry on this chart, and hopefully it can do just as well as her two highest charters.
