The 26-year-old ex-Westlifer burst into tears during a training session for Sky One football show The Match in Newcastle on Sunday afternoon. He stunned organisers as he crumpled into a heap holding his head and sobbing uncontrollably. Advertisement A pal told us: "It was really strange to see him blubbering like that when he got a tap on the ankle during the game. "He could easily have carried on. Everyone's really concerned." Sources close to Brian claim he is devastated after hearing his single - Everybody's Somebody, a duet with LeAnn Rimes released two weeks ago - had failed to make the Top 40, limping in at No. 48. He had hoped the track, his first since May 2005, would at least make the Top 20 and remind fans he was still making music. The fragile singer is also struggling to cope during a bitter spat with estranged wife Kerry Katona over access to their children Molly, four, and three-year-old Lily-Sue. On Saturday Brian lost it in the middle of a Newcastle karaoke session. Despite performing in front of millions of fans while in the Irish boyband he fled the stage in the middle of singing I Will Survive, leaving Streets backing singer Leo Inhenacho to finish the song himself. A pal told us: "Bri is just not himself, he's all over the place emotionally, he's really suffering. "He knew the LeAnn track wouldn't go to No. 1 but it really knocked him sideways that it didn't even make the Top 40. "He went to pieces at the karaoke. "Everyone was chanting for him to come back but he just lit up a fag. His hands were shaking terribly." Later on Sunday to make matters worse poor Brian - whose girlfriend Delta Goodrem was absent - fought back tears when he was banished into quarantine by manager Graham Taylor after coming down with a mystery bug. A spokesman for The Match, broadcast all this week at 10pm, confirmed: "Brian broke down in tears but he's back in the squad now." Kerry and Brian's squabblings took a turn for the worse last month after he accused her of cheating on him during their two-and-a-half year marriage with singer Dan Corsi. Bri, who has branded Kerry, 25, an "unfit" mother said: "I'd heard the rumours about her and Corsi for a long time, but she always told me that nothing had been going on. "But yes, it was true. I'm still devastated. I can't believe what she did. It makes our whole marriage a sham." October 3, 200618 yr For christ sake-crying over a duet that he was guesting on not going top 40...its hardly the end of the world...it had no promotion and its quite bland and c**p...I think No.48 is higher than it deserved...

October 3, 200618 yr Author how are we doing that? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? i dont feel bad, she can do better than him, he looks and acts like a slob. it is only a matter of time before he breaks her heart anyways. plus she should be having kids of her own, not looking after his feral kids.

October 3, 200618 yr If Delta can't see Brian for what he is now, i think her blonde hair has gone to her head a bit tooooooo much!!! He's such a loser, i hate him sooo much, there's a reason he's not doing well HE CAN'T SING!! Delta needs to take the high road and leave brian crying on the ground!!

October 4, 200618 yr Author i dont think i would unless i was like 40+ and there was no other option. he is just so weird. i dont care that they are together it is just that delta could be a mega star. she is 21, something is bound to happen and they will break up. i dont think it is too serious. she would be able to find someone else, how many bf's has she had? quite a few. if she is after someone new, i would love to take the role :lol:
October 4, 200618 yr It isn't any right of ours to talk about something as private as a relationship even if they are two celebrities, you do not know what happens behind closed doors therefore you do not have the right to judge ppl on the public persona they have!! For all we know Delta may be a happy positive innocent i'd never hurt a fly person in public but she could be a complete b**ch in real life, I doubt it very much but it just an example. And calling Brian a loser well, what has he really done eh? Anybody would think he's killed somebody or has done drugs or has cheated on Delta!! Which he hasn't!! I think everyone really needs to keep this in perspective - at the end of the day you don't like him because of the medias perception of him; yet I am sure you'd say the medias perception of Delta has been unfair? Just my opinion but I think it's all slightly hypocritical. October 4, 200618 yr delta should not have to support brian and his kids on her income I'm sure brian has made ALOT more money than delta, yeah i'd like her to be with someone else but i can see these two sticking together for quite a while so you will all have to deal with it.

October 5, 200618 yr I can see the media are doing the same to Brian as they usually do to Darius - omit anything positive and create a sensationalist negative spin out of everything else. Where is the fact that Brian's track "Demons" has been picked up for the 3rd season of Lost? It's not a rumour. Check out the Lost site. It fits perfectly and it could very well launch Brian's career in the US, which would also be good for Delta if they stay together as a couple.
October 5, 200618 yr Actually Baytree, when it comes to the music business, it's better to be single as it gives more appeal to the audience, and if Brian made it Delta would only be known as Brian's GF, so i don't agree with you. But it could help Brian with his career, but not Delta's!
October 7, 200618 yr What people need to remember at the end of the day is that if Delta wasn't being made happy by him, then she wouldn't have stayed and most definitely not this long. He's clearly doing something right for her on a personal level...
