A Rebel Heart follow-up could be on the way 13 July 2016 BY LEWIS CORNER Madonna may have just wrapped up her Rebel Heart world tour back in March, but it looks like the Queen of Pop has already got to work on new music. Well, that's at least according to an unlikely collaborator in the form of African R&B artist Qweci (formerly known as Ded Buddy), who says a new song is on its way. "Back in the States, I co-wrote a song for American songstress Madonna which is not yet released," he told 3News. "I wrote the song so it's one of the songs which is actually being pushed to her right now to be released. I co-produced, co-arranged and stuff for Madonna's album." Coincidentally, Madonna is currently in Africa with her children where she visited her non-profit organisation Raising Malawi. The superstar also saw her adopted son David receive his Ngoni tribal name in his ancestral village, as well as clearing the air with his biological father Yohane Banda. Madonna's new album will serve as the follow-up to her 2015 collection Rebel Heart, which topped the US chart and peaked at number two in the UK. It spawned her latest singles 'Living For Love', 'Ghosttown' and 'Bitch I'm Madonna'.
July 13, 20169 yr I very much doubt she is close to releasing new music. She must have hundreds of songs that she has worked on that she has not finished or has no plans to release . I do think we will hear news of the DVD release of the tour soon though.
July 13, 20169 yr Yeah I don't think we'll be getting music anytime soon as much as I want it! Is this DVD actually happening? I am getting doubtful but I NEED IT SO BADLY :( :(
July 16, 20169 yr Author Yeah, in reality I can't see her being anywhere near ready to release new music. Depending on what her plans are, I suspect, at the least, she'll start focusing properly on her new album next year with a release in the first half of 2018.
July 16, 20169 yr Gosh 2018 makes it seem SO FAR AWAY but that is probably when we'll expect it. Either that or she'll risk a quarter 4 2017 release. She seems to be enjoying herself and spending quality family time with the kids now, so that's what matters!
July 16, 20169 yr Author I actually thought it was quite soon! :lol: I suppose I'm not quite used to Rebel Heart being well over a year old now.
