As someone who is about to start to be in the process of having numerous job interviews, I went into this with a mix of hope that it wouldn't scare me off and a hope to take some notes on the right and wrongs of interviews!! While it's maybe not beneficial for the latter, it was still really interesting and it was good to see the interview process from the employer's perspective and, in the first episode at least, you could understand completely why they made the decisions that they did. There were a few cringeworthy moments but, like First Dates, I think the style and the intention is to cringe with them rather than exploit them for entertainment purposes.

I'm looking forward to the other episodes and I hope that the interviewers and the applicants are just as interesting. All I can say is that I wouldn't want to be filmed for my job interviews!

This has finally returned for a second series recently! Odd that I'd never really had a job interview when the first series came out but I've had, lets say several, in between that and this series! (omg at least I was apparently prepared when I said 'numerous' in the OP!!)

Never had to do some of the crazy things that they get them to do in the show though, although my job doesn't fit in with those types of things I guess. Imagine going to an interview and tasting some sausages! The show really is an interesting insight into the interview process (although it would be better if it explored further). It's so tough when there's a clear top two who are both sort of level with each other, and both should be given the opportunity which is something that I'm sure happens a lot, and something the 'losing' candidate can't help! It is a bit awkward though when the past two weeks have featured someone who has since left within the six months...

I'm shocked at how many don't do the most basic of research. The most recent ep, none of them had recently read an issue of Good Housekeeping magazine, or even seen the front cover, despite going for a job there!
