What an incredible #1 you have here :heart: Tears is one of my favourite songs of the year, the great production from Clean Bandit mixed with Louisa's lush vocals really makes for a superb track. By far and away my favourite of theirs, although I did love Stronger last year too, and Extraordinary/Rather Be to an extent.

 

I've not actually given Worship a great deal of attention during its single campaign so far, I think I'm just ready for them to move on to another album now, but it is good and probably the best single choice out of what's left on the album!

 

I heard 7 for the first time last week and it's pretty good actually, didn't think I'd be that into Catfish and the Bottlemen at all. Soundcheck is my favourite though, heard it months ago and liked it but forgot to actually buy it until last week! :lol:

 

Yaaay at Britney debuting at #11 too, top 10 next week please :heart: :heart:

I remember 'Tears' falling flat to me at first which I find absolutely ridiculous thinking back now! The pacing of the song is perfect; I particularly love the pre-chorus where Louisa is pushing out the lyrics to her last breath yet absolutely pulling it off. Her vocals and the dance production is a great combination and makes me think to how Ella Henderson's career started off. Louisa is definitely in a good position to have a healthy career after the non-start of her winner's single - obviously that's not always the case (hello Fleur lol) but I'm feeling confident.

 

I'm usually the same when it comes to being this far into an album campaign but 'Worship' was a highlight from the very start and has proven to grow even stronger after the video. I think they should leave it after this though and move onto album #2, which I'm sure they will do (I reckon this was released so they have something that could possibly take off as a result of touring and gigs over the summer).

 

Catfish and the Bottlemen aren't the sort of band I usually take proper notice of other than finding them a pleasant listen on the radio, but '7' really grabbed my attention. It caters to pop tastes with its strong hooks and is generally a great track to sing along to. 'Soundcheck' is also very good; think I need a listen to the full album!

 

Slayney is one to watch after the video drops when I think it will push the song to a whole new level. *.*
