what do you guys think about chasing cars been deleted?i think they should have left it as it was,it was doing very well and could have sold so much more and stayed so much longer on the charts, its there biggest selling single to adte and there first to sell over 100,000 copies,it could have went on to sell at least 200,000 copies i think

It can still sell 200,000 copies even if it's deleted.

Almost all of its sales came from downloads anyway. It fell 25-28 on the physical chart when it was top 10 on the combined charts.

If it's deleted it just means it won't feature on the charts, it'll still sell.

oh that makes more sense, thanks tim

I didn't realise until the other day when someone on here posted about it's deletion..

..maybe it was the same reason 'Crazy' was deleted. Quit whilst everyone still likes it. Let's face it, if it's left in the charts for x number of months, people will eventually get sick

i dont really know whats happening with chasing cars as its still on th echart and is looking likely to climb back into the top 15 again on next sundays chart, maybe the singles hasnt and wont be deleted at all,i would like for it not to be deleted as i think it could remain on th echart for sometime yet

Can't singles still sell a certain amount after deletion?

I'm almost certain 'Crazy' was in the charts about 3 weeks after it got deleted

It should be two weeks but to be honest i'm not actually sure Chasing Cars has been deleted. Its a good song and its done wonders for the Eyes Open album and it has a really good chart run but I mean now its time for Snow Patrol to fully focus on STFTTTB but if it doesn't get deleted then i'm sure Chasing Cars will still be around in the charts by the time the new single is released.

maybe set the fire will be held back a few weeks

Nar id doubt it. They've got all the promotion work set out now and its getting radio airplay and the video will be going to the music channels very soon. :D

well both could be on th etop 40 at the same time,i think set the fire could well go top 3 and give them there highest chart position yet
It could but it just depends really, I mean by the time its released there will be a lot of big tracks around at the same time, but this track will appeal to a lot of people like Chasing Cars did so I think it could do well in the chart. :D
Well I think it will get good airplay. :D and it will mot likely get stocked by Woolie as well thi time around as that was Chasing Cars downfall on physicals.

YES I HOPE WOLLIES DONT REPEAT WHAT THEY DID WITH CHASING CARS,also martha wainright fans will be buying this also which is a bonus

Chasing cars looks most likely to be back in the top 10 on Sunday, I'm not sure what happenend to its deletion, I think it didn't happen

I think they'll have learned from there mistakes this time round. Yeah its hard to think that if Woolies had stocked Chasing Cars then it would have climbed even higher up the chart. :o
