Thanks for that. It's real. :yahoo: And scary!  I'm looking forward to it. Only three and a half months away till I see the Vortex. :o

I haven't read the play and dont want to..i just want to go and see it all fresh...but can someone please put me out of my misery and let me know if Will has a male love interest in the play?
Thanks for the cast update, it's weird, I recognize all the actors in those pics but I didn't have a clue what their names were.

Thanks munchkin

I got butterflies just thinking about the play, I don't know who will be more nervous Will or me :P

I'm sure Will will be fine, he'll give it 100% as always and I'm not worried at all, he wanted this role and he got it. He wouldn't have got the part if the director didn't think he could handle it and from what she said about him, he certainly can. :D

Young set for theatre debut in Coward’s Vortex

Will Young is to make his theatrical debut starring in Noel Coward’s The Vortex at the Royal Exchange Theatre, as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations in January 2007.

The Vortex, which launched Coward on to the London stage in 1924, is a savage portrayal of the darker side of the cocktail scene of the legendary roaring twenties, observed through the relationship of musician Nicky Lancaster and his mother Florence.

Young will be playing the lead role of Lancaster in the show, which is to be directed by Jo Combes, who previously worked on Knives in Hens, Electra and Pomegranate.

Combes said: “Will did a stunning audition and I am really excited about what he will bring to the character and the production. We are delighted that he has chosen to make his stage debut in the Royal Exchange’s 30th anniversary season.â€

The show will run from the January 17 to March 10, 2007.
