So turns out it was neither of them and Twenty One Pilots ended up spending a third week at #1. That's likely to change with Conor still on the rise and Gaga debuting (yeah that wasn't a spoiler, "Perfect Illusion" was gonna debut high no matter what). Instead we see Zedd debut at #2 for the third time in the history of this chart (the previous times were "Break Free" and "Candyman") with "Adrenaline", his collab with protégés Grey. Plus they still have "Starving" with Hailee Steinfeld at #5 so there's some Zedd domination. Charlie Puth edges closer to the top 2 with "We Don't Talk Anymore", while Britney drops down two spots to #4 with "Make Me". Bring on single #2! DJ Snake and Justin Bieber enter the top 10 with their collab "Let Me Love You" - should be a battle between Justin and Conor soon. Which brings us into our lone top 20 debut: the first track from Drumsound & Bassline Smith to chart and the first Conor single NOT to debut at #1 (!!! What is happening to me? I swear I'm still a Conor stan) - "Catch Me Here" debuts at #15 this week. This continues the four year long tradition of at least one Conor song appearing on the chart every year.Now watch this carry on over to 2017 as there's no way in hell he's releasing any solo material anytime soon. Tory Lanez joins Zedd and Conor in terms of top 30 debuts with "LUV" sliding up a spot to #30.

Meanwhile, the top 40 is chock full of entries: Nhato broke barriers by being the first Japanese artist to chart, and now he's the greatest gainer this week with Touhou arrangement "Way Of Life" up 13 spots to #34. Ariana Grande also makes a giant move to the top 40 with her latest single "Side To Side" debuting at #35. M.O are the last top 40 entry with "Who Do You Think Of?" up 6 spots to #37. Joining Zedd, Conor and Ari in the chart debut front is Tove Lo with "Cool Girl" at #49.

Alan Walker and Demi Lovato tie for biggest dropper, down 15 spots with "Sing Me To Sleep" and "Body Say". In its 30th week, "Ride" drops 5 spots to #29.
