Dev has the short straw this year and Scott mills gets a lie in on Xmas day!!

Ugh how many highlights can there have been from the teen awards and big weekend???

Annoying that the Xmas chart is just the usual 4-5.45!

To be fair next Friday which is the 23rd is not a holiday.

Why do chart of the year on the 30th when they're supposed to do the final chart of 2016? It'll be the second time since 1997 where an official chart hasn't been broadcast

They used to normally do the chart of the year in place of the current week's one although they would just do a top 10 rundown of the latter at some point in that show.

Radio 1 going all out with the recorded shows all through the week between Christmas Day and NYD! They usually do it only on Christmas Day/ Boxing Day/NYD with stand in's doing the regular shows. Only the breakfast show is running as usual this year lol. Can understand why they have done it though with no one really listening to the radio during that week.

I wouldn't complain, they didn't do the Chart of the Year at all last year!

I remember in March when Greg couldn't do the chart due to his Gregathlon so Scott did the chart during his show instead. On the 30th, they should keep chart of the year and do the official chart between 1 and 4 instead of highlights from R1's Big Weekend

TOTD Fri 16th Dec

Dua Lipa - Be The One

Coming for that new year re-release (sounds a bit remixed from the original version too?)

I'm not saying I don't like the song before anyone jumps in but what I'm saying is is that she should have just released something new from her album instead of re-releasing this

Surely everyone has heard this song before by now?

If they're a Radio 1 listener then yes! But, Dua Lipa has had a successful year and this was completely under the radar before her more successful singles came about so I only see it as a good thing bringing it to (potentially) a wider audience.

Yeah the general public won't really know it was released before, it didn't get major support even from Radio 1, so it's not gonna make a difference.
