Posted October 6, 200618 yr I bought "Back To Basics" and was inicially really dissapointed. No obvious singles stood out to me and I basically could not get into the album. However, I have lately had "the right man" on repeat! :wub: Its such a lovley song. powerful, emotive and her vocals are flawless. I really hope this is a future single. I adore this song!

October 6, 200618 yr Author The entire album is flawless. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to. Are you a fan? I used to be a big fan. But after the gap between "Stripped" and "Back To Basics" I started to loose interest. Then when "Back to basics" was released, I haven't been that impressed either. Amazing vocal capability, lovely packaging and photo's but I can't get into the album as such. To me , there are no stand out tracks. Its a dissapointment.

October 6, 200618 yr This album is definatly better than most, if not all releases this year. B-day, FutureSex/LoveSounds, A Public Affair etc are all alot worse than this!

October 10, 200618 yr This is one of my favorite tracks as well its so deep! I really think she should have spread the ballads out on CD2 as its just like 3/4 ballads in row and when you have the album on without skipping it gets a bit naff!
October 10, 200618 yr Yep, I prefer CD 2 on the whole, as there is one or 2 fillerish songs on CD 1 like Without You, but CD2 I listen to all the way through :wub:

October 11, 200618 yr the album is a big grower for most fans... it had the immediate stand out tracks for me i.e. hurt, understand, anom, candyman etc... but others have grown on me like makes me wanna pray and i got trouble which are now faves!! :o overall i think the album is fantastic with only a possible 3 fillers to none christina fans, the production of the whole album is superb with standout production on candyman and the right man!! :wub:
October 11, 200618 yr My immediate favourites were ANOM, Hurt, Candyman, Mercy On Me, The Right Man and Oh Mother... I like a few more now though, like Understand ^_^ It's probably the best album this year for me though, there's been alot of dissapointments this year!
