September 28, 20168 yr I disagree Jark, I think this is excellent journalism. Sam's only sorry because he's been caught out. It's clear this whole thing is part of something much larger. Lots of managers break rules and agents have way too much power. I think it's great to see. Sam's always been dodgy anyway, there was the whole agents/bribes thing, then there was the whole thing with him getting people to sign up with his personal agent and now this.
September 28, 20168 yr Stings are rarely if ever excellent journalism. If you have to set up a fake scenario to lure somebody into a crime, and even then print the story in a salacious way that misrepresents what went down and heavily edits the quotes to stack opinion against your subject, you're morally way out of line and clearly not doing it for ethical reasons. If Sam was involved in other dodgy stuff it wouldn't be hard for them to get a mic and record it. But they didn't. The Telegraph purport to be a serious newspaper but this is The Sun levels of distasteful.
