First release from the forthcoming debut album by Southampton's 'most likely to be massive' - Creeper

Not quite as immediate as their previous Misfits/Alkaline Trio/Meatloaf(!) mash ups but this sees more than a passing nod to MCR and could be the single that breaks them finally

The 2nd release from the upcoming album is Hiding With The Boys. The previous one just about snuck onto Radio 1's list so could they build on that

I managed to catch them again supporting Pierce The Veil and judging by the number of T-shirts and crowd reaction they are steadily growing a devoted following.

I remain convinced they are ones to watch.

Channeling AFI, My Chemical Romance and Avenged Sevenfold, Black Rain is the 3rd release from the album., and the video looks like it's hinting that the mystery of James Scythe might be reaching a resolution

Have Creeper broken up? I think it's just marketing for their next era, I hope so at least. Loads of people were in tears after the London show.

In all honesty we don't know yet. In an off the record chat Ian possibly let slip that he was going to study film-making then hastily corrected himself to a 'would like to' stance so many think it's a long hiatus. Will only said last show, not we're splitting up so there's always the studio only option but there's loads of evidence to suggest they won't be around for a some time.

And frankly anyone who was surprised by the announcement at Koko wasn't paying attention

Still no update on this! Will hasn't posted anything on Twitter since it happened.

Hopefully we get an update soon! (I don't think they've split up)

Nothing has been confirmed right now but the word from those closest to the band is that they will return in April with a new image, sound and lineup

I'd also recommend checking out Our Time Down Here. Will's previous band, who are very similar in style and you may well like

Thank the lord for that! I'll definitely check out OTDH.

Do you know what they mean by new lineup? I hope none of them have left!

Nothing concrete but I have my suspicions based on comments made by certain members and conversations friends have had with members too.

Like I said I don't know anything for certain but I very much doubt everyone will be there come any announcement

I imagine Will, Hannah and Ian will be there, they seem to be the main 3.

I suspected there would be some sort of change with the next 'era' after Will cut his hair.

To be fair Will has cut his hair quite regularly in the years I've been following them so I paid no mind to that but we all knew the Koko gig wouldbe the end of the Callous Heart and possibly the band so the announcement was no surprise to most.

I have no reason to suspect Dan won't return too.

The NME posted pictures of the Koko gig and there were loads of fans crying, incredibly touching to see that a band means so much to some people

Yeah it is quite special. The Koko gig was kind of funny too though. You had a whole bunch of people who were quite shocked and then there were those of us in the Creepercult going 'saw that coming'. It didn't take long before word got around not to panic. Unfortunately the whole show wasn't recorded by anyone which is both a shame and unusual

Well connected people in the cult are still insisting it's not over but it's getting harder to believe with each passing week of silence

Would be a real shame if it is actually over, especially as they played the main stage at Reading & Leeds last year.

In the mean time, Ian has released a brilliant EP on his bandcamp!

He has but don't put any significance on it. It's all old tracks rather than recent work

Some 'insider' on efestivals saying that Creeper will return for a secret set at a 'big UK festival', likely to be R&L (probably on the Radio 1 stage or The Pit).

Obviously there's no way to confirm this, but I'll take anything at this point!
