October 26, 20168 yr Hi Jade Funky house represented by Wings at the top (amazing tune from Armand), the new Galantis song (which sounds retro and fun like a lot of mid 00s house music that made the charts), and KDA and Tinashe (which sounds a bit like the 2004 and early 2005 Stonebridge and Therese hits, being lovely soothing funky house with a great jazzy vocal) The Clean Bandit one I like in terms of vocal and melody but not in terms of its instrumentation, I would prefer if it was a more disco influenced instrumental like Tears and Stronger. Lastly Ferry Corsten and Cosmic Gate are legends (Rock Your Body Rock and Fire Wire are both brilliant). I wish their new track had vocals but other than that it sounds very good.

Hey there Snakey :hi: Glad that you're a fan of those three songs that you mention straight away! Yes I think Galantis does sound retro also, as well as the Armand song of course. Always here for more retro sounding dance songs! Ooh I am only aware of 'Put 'Em High' by Stonebridge and Therese ;o Should probably check out more of their stuff as that song is so good. *.* Yes the vocals are so on point, such an impressively emotive performance by Anne-Marie. The melody is also so daym catchy! Fair enough regarding the instrumentation. The little amount of strings is such a tease tbh, I'm a sucker for strings and wish there was more in the song! Although it's incredible nevertheless. <3 Yesss they really are! 'Rock Your Body Rock' is a right blast from the past in particular <3 'Going Home' is my Cosmic Gate fave. October 27, 20168 yr Hi Jade! :D 'Rockabye' is sounding decent after a few listens; I could easily see it really growing on me in coming weeks. I do feel like the orchestral instruments aren't as distinctive this era as they were in the last, especially compared to something like 'Rather Be'. Obviously, they're always going to be a part of their music but I just hope the music doesn't become more anonymous. Another intriguing single from twenty one pilots in the shape of 'Lane Boy'! It's chorus gets catchier as the song goes on - I remember at first thinking it wasn't strong or instant enough for the song to be a single, but my opinion soon changed by the end. I also love how the song blends contrasting genres, like the rave towards the end should, on paper, be so out of place, but it strangely works! Finally, it's great to see lots of Gaga tracks in your chart. 'Dancin' in Circles' would make a very good single choice as I feel it's not too dissimilar to the style that Selena Gomez has been following, with the minimalistic chorus thing going on. Same can be said for 'John Wayne' actually. There's a lot of greatness on this album and it's so much more authentic and flows better than ARTPOP was, despite the highs that has to offer. I can see myself appreciating new things from the album with each listen and different songs standing out. P.S. Great throwback with Years & Years - I had actually forgotten about 'Eyes Shut' until hearing it on radio the other day and I then realised just how beautiful it was. Really sweet melody that allows Olly's voice to shine through.
