Clean Bandit first topped my chart back in June with the Louisa Johnson-assisted Tears, which debuted at #2 and climbed to #1 the week after. The follow-up to Tears had a much weaker first "week" (less than 24 hours of availability in the first chart week, let it be said), as Rockabye entered at #27 last week, but it manages to repeat the climb to #1, giving the group their second #1 in my chart. It is the first #1 for both Sean Paul and Anne-Marie, with the former having two #2 hits in the past, including the biggest #2 hit in my chart history - What About Us by The Saturdays feat. Sean Paul. Anne-Marie's only previous chart hit is the #3 smash Alarm from earlier this year.

Also climbing into this week's top 10 is NEIKED, a Swedish producer. His debut hit Sexual, with vocals courtesy of Dayo Olatunji (also known as Ms D or Dyo), climbs 8 places to a new peak of #8 this week, giving both NEIKED and Dyo their first top 10 hits. Dyo previously charted as a feature on Wiley's Reload in 2013, and would no doubt have charted high with Chipmunk on Oopsy Daisy if my chart existed then (although she was uncredited on that song).

Also this week, I saw Shawn Mendes live in Kingston, so his songs and album have seen a notable boost in the chart. Mercy climbs 23-6, also seeing the effect of his X Factor performance, and Treat You Better re-enters at #33, while the album Illuminate climbs back to #1 for its fourth week. Also re-entering this week is JoJo's former #1 Fuck Apologies. which topped the chart in August. It climbs back in at #39, due to the album's release.

 

Bruno Mars (pictured) enters at #24 with 24K Magic (I promise you that's a coincidence, didn't notice it until typing this commentary!), giving him a third chart hit. His previous high is the #13 hit Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson, and his only other charting song is #40 hit When I Was Your Man.

 

Louisa Johnson and Charli XCX enter this week with their new singles but I will discuss them in depth next week when they undoubtedly climb with a full week of availability!
