A sound is a sound, doesn't have to be narrowed down to a song if it was then it'd be saying "this is a rip of that song". :rolleyes: Which is exactly what "looking at what works at the minute and going with it" means. As for Cheryl being humble, she comes across that way in the documentry and interviews. She doesn't owe All Saints anything & thats what I like about any band is if they speak their minds. She didn't come out and say "All Saints are c**p, they're stupid girls who know f*cking nothing" that would be not worth defending. If the All Saints are going for what's popular explain how. Sound is vague and the fact that you could only name other girl bands did not help your case. You can't name another other popular song this year that 'Rock Steady' is similar to (which was my challenge, I never claimed that you said it was ripping off another song directly). If it's going for what's popular now, surely that would be easy. You can't explain what is it about the song which is popular - it's a pop song sung by girls without a live band - that's not a sound and if it is it was not invented by Girls Aloud.

Exactly what I'm saying. Tim, you can go round the houses with words all you like. You're trying to make me say Rock Steady sounds like another song, it's not my opinion - I dont think that. Why should I say it is! I thought I'd at least try and answer your question. I dont even care if All Saints sound like another band, they obviously need to sell and appeal...but they dont sound like their earlier material, so as it stands there are people that do think it sounds like any other girlband which is what it is. All Saints are older and been in the business longer, surely they would have been able to come up with a better put down than that! It just makes them sound like the silly girls'.
October 13, 200618 yr I personally LOVE the new All Saints track, but I disagree with Cheryl when she says it rips off rom the Girls Aloud sound, if anything 'Rock Steady' has a more Sugababes-esque vibe to it. I for one am very impressed with the All Saints comeback single, and it's better than I could have possibly imagined it would be. ^_^
