I saw about two episodes of it... Complete and utter PISH.... Xena was meant to be corny and a bit naff, the show's creator Sam Raimi (of "Evil Dead" fame) intended it to be tongue-in-cheek and silly; this was supposedly a 'flag-ship BBC drama' ffs..... Any humourous element it had was of the totally unintended variety....

And, I have to question just why you are comparing those two shows anyway.... About as much alike as chalk and cheese.... You'd may as well compare "CSI" to "Scrubs"

I said it reminds me of Xena but there is no comparison I agree!

Xena sucked big time...although it's pretty obvious to me why some might

find it entertaining!!

Robin Hood so far is good, and obviously intended to be comical!

So I dont know what you talking about, but hey you know...different strokes!

Anyway we all like it in this house! ^_^

I would heartily recommend you watch the excellent 80s ITV drama "Robin of Sherwood"... So far this is really the ONLY interpretation of the Robin Hood legend that actually gets the period pretty historically accurate and presents it properly and in the proper context of the time... Not only that, it has a young Ray Winstone in it as well, playing Will Scarlett...

Every time I see that publicity shot for the BBC one that you put up, I just cant help but have "Donnie Darko" go through my mind....

I would love to see that one!! I try to watch all I can from the

UK but sadly on my satellite all I get is one channel called

BBC. So I have to watch what they are showing. I watch a

lot of movies from there since I can find them on other channels

but the series are only on the one bbc channel! Recently I

watched the movie 'Omagh' about a car bombing in Ireland

in 1998. Shaun of the Dead' was great also, both Elizabeths the 1st's

were good and i watched a movie where kate Blanchett was a

heroin addict....ive seen many UK movies, I wish I could get my

hands on more!

Robin Hood is not the greatest show they have I know

but its ok and it makes me laugh...so thats saying something! :)

It made me laugh too, unfortunately for the wrong reasons...... "Robin of Sherwood" is available on DVD by the way... In three box-sets.... :)
