One of the most memorable and celebrated performances of the tour, 'Future Lovers' set the spirit of the show. Anticipation is built with the spine-tingling electronics as the back screen teases the Equestrian theme with glimpses Madonna's figure intertwined with those of horses. Her face appears on the screen and projects the song's intro, before the attention is drawn to a huge disco ball lowering from the roof. It's predictable that it will open, it's just a matter of when the intro finishes, but eagerness starts hitting the roof as the melody intensifies. A final "would you like to try?" triggers the ball to fall away and reveal a beaming Madonna, gazing over her ecstatic audience. It's an incredible moment and how I'd loved to have been a member of the crowd at that time. Madonna later acknowledges the Donna Summer comparisons by seamlessly fitting 'I Feel Love' alongside her own song - so effective that it's easy to confuse the songs of being the same.

'Jump' again! 'Hung Up' and 'Live to Tell' are among the best Madonna performances I've seen and the choreography and message of 'Forbidden Love' is just so powerful.

It's one of my absolute FAVOURITE Madonna songs but yeah I have to go for it too. I feel like i've murdered my CHILD in voting for it.
