December 18, 20168 yr Hi Rob!! Piece of Me is pretty fab, I love Becky Hill's voice loads so I''m glad it's being utilised on so many dance tracks at the moment. I'd love her to get a solo hit too soon, I've really enjoyed the likes of Warm, Losing and Caution to the Wind. I'm glad Taylor pushed so many singles from 1989 because it was such a strong album, almost all of the tracks could've been hit singles if they were from other eras probably. It's a shame that New Romantics pretty much never even happened though, I've always loved it from the album and it deserved better :( :D

I hear you cry :heehee: it was a potential for me in August. I'm still enjoying this a lot several months later but there was no contest when it was up against the likes of Keys&Cages for entry of that month really :P Finally wrapping this bookend of positions off is Brighton based musician Alyss (YASS GURL G'WON Do it for us Brighton (nearer Brighton) people *.*) with her song 'T S I E R' a entry from Federal Republic of Rontvia back in October which managed top 10 and they've been on a huge roll over there, getting no DNQ's at all in 2016 :o go Rich!!! :cheer:

December 18, 20168 yr Author 70 ~ YQHsXMglC9A Well this needs no introduction, huge comeback single for Godele in the latter half of 2015. 'Hello' reached my number around Christmas, not straight away as it was held off by 'Wildest Dreams' at the time but it's safe to say it's held up really well going into 2016 and Adele just continues to break records. Doing it for the BRITS! Another note, she was 94 on my countdown last year and many people were shocked by this, she would have been top 40 had I used a different charting system :P She does finish very low again but definitely higher in comparison and this year there's the excuse of it the fact it just performed extremely well all in last year and this year it just dragged over. It left my chart around March which is why it suffers from not going any higher this year!
December 18, 20168 yr Author 69 ~ (14.05.05.09.11.21.23.39) 8 Weeks 4HazJhPnrB8 68 ~ (26.23.06.06.04.03.07.16.22.30) 10 Weeks cMTAUr3Nm6I continuing the run of female acts so far, we have Alicia Key's comeback track 'In Common', an interesting and experimental rnb song which didn't make a huge impact officially but did just that on my chart peaking at 5 and spending 8 weeks in the chart. Alicia is someone who's done pretty well in past EOY's... 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' finished 3rd in 2010 & 'No One' also came top 30 in my EOY for 2007! Every year lately we seem to have some track by Meghan Trainor that is love/hate and it would appear she's done just that again releasing a Britney circa 2000 pop track, Meghan sure is a lady who has her demands especially if we bear in mind 'Dear Future Husband', this time however she just says to anything.... 'NO'! :P
December 19, 20168 yr Il Faut Vivre is really catchy, took a while to grow on me though In Common is quite nice as well!
December 19, 20168 yr my faves from your top 100 so far: 74. Markus Schulz Ft Delacey – Destiny love this! hope you're considering it for BJSC, I'm also thinking of entering a trance song to '91 (but not this one) 76. Sigala – Say You Do 77. Kygo - stay 81. MK Ft Becky Hill – Piece of Me absolutely love this, it's a strong contender for my EOY #1  83. Dua Lipa – Hotter Than Hell hope the other one is Blow Your Mind (Mwah!) 92. Alan Walker – Sing Me To Sleep 95. The Weeknd Ft Daft Punk - Starboy
December 19, 20168 yr Author Thanks Josh, yeah shame about Taylor but then it was like her 7th single really, didn't really sound like a hit either. Cheers Harreh :D Pleased your enjoying it Pete, yes Il Faut Vivre is a nice, fair enough with it being a grower. Was instant for me though! Thanks Dan, knew you'd approve of the dance n trance so far :P i might consider 'Destiny' as a potential again but I do have my next entry more or less sealed as I can't get enough of it! Continuing on with spicing up my entries, genre wise!! & yep it is Blow Your Mind but where it'll come. Wait & see.... (not yet) I will be continuing this from 7 tonight, hoping to get to 60 at least.
December 19, 20168 yr Hiya again Rob! Yeah, at least Taylor got plenty of hits from the last album but I'd have loved for NR to smash too. Hello is the one single that hasn't done it for me from Adele's latest era. Aside from its now iconic status, I find it a bit dull and it doesn't excite me much at all, much like SLY. I much preferred the next two singles from this era, she sounds great when she does uptempos like Send My Love imo. Was never expecting to enjoy Alicia Keys' comeback so much but In Common was an excellent choice imo. I'm gutted it got such a muted reaction because for me, it is one of her best tracks. Love the vibe of it and how current it sounds, shame it never caught on with the public :(
December 19, 20168 yr Author 67 ~ (40.32.30.37.33.31.35.28.26.35.29.38) 12 Weeks MXOT1nnrB8w 66 ~ -cO43nfWxMA (04.07.10.14.13.14.14.13.15.17) 10 Weeks 65 ~ (21.17.16.04.06.11.12.19.15.32) 10 Weeks m8AXUq5uA0Y he's here again, Craig David's year just continued to excel when he teamed up with Blonde on 'Nothing Like This', the song had a somewhat lingering chart run in the lower half, never got any higher than #26 in my chart but it did amass a healthy run of 12 weeks in the top 40 overall. This is Craig's last appearance in the countdown, he also bagged himself his first #1 album in 16 years a few months ago, go him! There's no denying that MO with the strike through the O has been one of my favourite artist discoveries in recent years and she was also responsible for claiming my song of the year in 2015 with 'Lean On' by Major Lazer. She however has managed to get solo success this year with ' Final Song' but her follow up has so far not kept the momentum going and it's another good single from her so here's hoping it can take off in the new year :( It ends up here at 66 and is still charting in my top 40! Birdy flies in at 65 with 'Keeping Your Head Up, the lead single from her 3rd album Beautiful Lies. Quite a distinctive sounding track for her voice really and extremely nice production. Sadly it didn't go top 40 officially nor did her follow up 'Wild Horses' which I'm afraid also didn't well enough to feature in my top 100 whilst being just as good!
December 19, 20168 yr Author 64 ~ Tv9YoYCKNoE (24.04.05.04.05.12.22.27.39) 9 Weeks 63 ~ papuvlVeZg8 (01.02.02.03.02.01.01.02) 8 Weeks In at 64 we have a song that charted for me way back in January, it comes from Grimes who is very popular amongst buzzjackers and I had good memories of playing it on plug as well, 'Flesh Without Blood' peaked at 4 but did hold up nicely managed a good 9 weeks in the chart. In the video you can see getting up to wacky fun even dressing as an angel, she loves dressing as you can see lol. Now onto 63 and it comes from Clean Bandit, now everyone who knows my past well will know that Clean Bandit are a big name enriched in the smash hits chart history book. Yes, because we all know why that is.. they've had so many hits in my chart and officially of course too including 'Extraordinary', 'Real Love' & obviously 'Rather Be' both of the latter two had guest vocals from Jess Glynne and we all know how far her career heightened thorugh the course of 2 years. Anyway getting back on topic, 'Rather Be' is in the history books for being my longest charting song ever in my 9 years of the charts existence (7 if you dont include the chart being around in 2011/12) when it notched up 62 WEEKS consecutively... YES 62!!!! nothing has been able to top that song of theirs for me however 'Rockabye' could very well do it as it's brilliant, featuring vox from Anne-marie (who is still to appear with another track) and Sean Paul *_______* this has spent 3 weeks non consecutively at the top which is already more than the 2 of the mammoth 'Rather Be'.. so it's done better in that department. With my personal chart not looking to really continue going into 2017 though it's definitely looking like we'll never know if it lasts quite as long... Edited December 19, 20168 yr by XMAS Rob S~
December 19, 20168 yr Author 62 ~ 1u-niluB8HI (10.08.09.08.06.05.11.15.35) 9 Weeks 61 ~ e7eZUGB9HKU (09.17.17.18.19.23.34) 7 Weeks One Hit Wonder's so far in my chart & the UK , X Ambassadors 'Renegades' started off very well in my chart but then quite quickly dropped down and then out. Taking 6 weeks in the start of it's run to get to it's ACTUAL :jameela: peak. It's a good song when it comes on radio but I don't really go out of my way to listen to it lately, not a bad track though for me! first we had an appearance from MO now it's Major Lazer's turn, 'light It Up was the follow up to 'Lean On' and became huge in the official charts, this wasn't however the case in my chart. LIU only managed 7 weeks top 40 with a peak of 9. It's safe to say it's nowhere near as great as 'Lean On' was but it's still a catchy song nonetheless, it's also the first charting track for Fuse ODG who I never really rate as being good or anything, oop!

December 19, 20168 yr Light It Up doing well here is great to see, I was so pleased by the longevity that had in the charts and I far preferred it to Cold Water, definitely less generic. Also great to see some Rockabye slayage here - even though it was only released recently I've been loving that plenty. It features in my countdown, quite high up too actually! White Tiger is also a great choon, such a shame that it didn't do much of anything in the charts even after two big pushes from Radio 1 :( Ah well, I hope her next era this coming year is as good as the White Tiger era! :D
December 20, 20168 yr Author Ahh Mdh & Joseph for that matter.... funny how you post now when one of your entries is about to appear :o (I'll reply to comments a little later as I'm about to head out) 60 ~ (35.16.04.04.07.22.29.33.39) 9 Weeks xUVz4nRmxn4 59 ~ (10.06.07.15.24.31.33.32.37) 9 Weeks kGIgqwv7dxQ Into the top 60 and we have Galantis at 60 with 'No Money', interesting note coming up now regarding the song in my chart and the official chart :o it's got the same peak!!! This was a tune though, not as good as 'Runaway' was for me but still very good and it did pretty well lasting 9 weeks in my chart at the start of summer! 59 comes from another BJSC related song, Medhelnia entered this back in August and it managed to snatch a top 4 placing, No Wyld's 'Let Me Know' is such an interesting track, it's a shame radio didn't pick it up as it sounds so different to anything out there and could've been a solid hit but oh well it was a smash in my chart with it's #6 peak and 9 week run. I also had discovered the track about 2 months before it was entered to BJSC which as you can imagine.... IMMA KICKIN MA SELF FOR NOW :banghead: :hithead: Edited December 20, 20168 yr by XMAS Rob S~
December 20, 20168 yr Author 58 ~ SyRv0-oPfKE (36.02.03.08.17.21.28) 7 Weeks 57 ~ (03.02.01.05.11.22.19.20.28) 9 Weeks 5DdQVlbVV-4 Following on from the success of the Mike Posner track , Seeb never had any success on his own which is a damn shame as this had all the making of a hit but radio just didn't get on board and neither did Spotify listeners as it didn't even take off on there either :( 'Breathe' is a solid dance track that has held up well imo! Haha we're now back to BJSC entries of other people yet the entries of mine that have made the top 100 have not showed up yet :o (sorry Hartebees my one qualifier in the rejects & Boston Bun not to forget Generik) 'The Ransom' shows up here at 57, it's the only song to top my chart that was in BJSC that wasn't my entry aside from 'Outsider's which is still to come.... The Tommy Walker remix really enhanced this otherwise boring song (you can listen to the original if ya want but it'd be a waste of minute in your life being subjected to such boredom) and it also elevates Catey's voice too. The song recieved my 18 points and I don't regret it at all. Still such a fabulous track, the remix that is :P Edited December 20, 20168 yr by XMAS Rob S~
December 20, 20168 yr That remix of The Ransom really picks up from the original, breathes so much life into it! Glad you like it so much
December 20, 20168 yr Nice to see No Money here, it did wear of after a while though :( Great to see Breathe here too, a great follow-up to their #1!
