Posted November 22, 20168 yr E4K7JgPJ8-s Pixar have released the first short teaser for Cars 3 and it already looks a lot darker than the previous instalments, perhaps this is the time where the Cars series really blows people away like the rest of their movies. I know they get a hard time but I really like the first two movies and am pretty hyped for this too, it all looks so realistic too, love what animation can do now as showcased by The Good Dinosaur and Piper. April 27, 20178 yr Author First official trailer has dropped! 2LeOH9AGJQM I liked the other two tbh so I'm still quite excited for this personally, that crash looks brutal!
April 27, 20178 yr Wow, what a paper thin plotline and something we've seen a billion times before. Definitely proving that it hasn't been made purely for merchandise purposes :) At least they're not spies for no reason at all, Cars 2 is still the only Pixar film I haven't seen.
July 26, 20178 yr Author I know the Cars franchise gets a hard time from most people but I enjoyed this just as much as the other two so fa (I think the first Cars is still slightly ahead and this probably second in my rankings but I liked the fact they all became spies in the second one :heehee:). Sure, the universe it's set in makes no sense whatsoever but I'm past that now and can enjoy the movies as kids movies rather than those that appeal to all generations like other Pixar movies. I enjoyed this way more than other recent proper kids movies like Despicable Me 3 and Smurfs anyway... The humour was really good, I liked the simulator going 'you are on fire' and 'you are going the wrong away' plus Cruz was really funny when thinking Lightning was old and not letting him go above 5mph on the treadmill  I even laughed at the randomly placed "life's a beach" joke, felt so awkward in a movie aimed at younger children  Speaking of Cruz, she was a really enjoyable character and I liked that she was able to bring the story full circle with Lightning becoming the mentor, it was a very uplifting ending. This feels like the right ending to making movies in terms of the story (and the fact that the box office returns are diminishing) but I'd love to see the story continue still, I've sort of grown up with these characters and Radiator Springs so it's always nice to go back and revisit the characters
