I can't quite predict how this will go, my instinct tells me something like this: 1st - LeKlein - 1st Vote / 2nd Jury (11 pts) 2nd - Manel - 3rd Vote / 1st Jury (10 pts) 3rd - Mirela - 2nd Vote / 4th Jury (8 pts) 4th - Paula - 5th Vote / 3rd Jury (6 pts) 5th - Mario - 4th Vote / 5th Jury (5 pts) 6th - Maika - 6th Vote / 6th Jury (2 pts) Maybe I'm just being pessimistic because I want Mirela (or Manel as 2nd choice) to win though :thinking:

One of which is from "Los 40" which has been playing Manel non-stop over the past few weeks. Then, if that wasn't enough, the jury will take precedence in the event of a tie after the 50/50 scores are worked out.

Well it is their best chance at a decent result this year, Mirela's song is a bop but if Edurne and Barei couldn't get on the left side of the scoreboard then 'Contigo' won't. Whereas 'Do It For Your Lover' could be a surprise hit in a Tom Dice/Gianluca kinda way.
February 10, 20178 yr Author I agree, I'm quite happy if they do rig it for Manel! I would of course prefer Mirela for my music taste, but Manel is a clear 2nd favourite and would mean we can avoid LeKlein (and the other horrors in this final - although I have a soft spot for Paula).

The in-studio jury consists of 3 members from the Spanish radio industry and in the event of a tie following the combination of the jury and televoting, the jury vote will take precedence. The Favourites Almost certainly a race between 3 acts, LeKlein, Manel Navarro and Mirela. Mirela seems to be the fan favourite, and this often translates into success with the Spanish televote. Manel is likely to be the jury favourite, his song is the only one of these six to be receiving regular rotation on major Spanish radio stations. LeKlein is the wildcard, she could very easily be the dark horse and do what Elaiza did and Ann Sophie did when this system was used over in Germany in 2014 and 2015. With the 50/50 system being weighted to the jury, Manel probably goes into tomorrow as slight favourite. If there is to be a compromise winner though, LeKlein will surely be that person.

Nah, remember the jury have the ultimate say in the event of a tie and Manel will surely be top 3 in the televote and win the jury so Mirela would have to come 2nd with the jury and I imagine they will vote against her type of song.

Yep this was exactly what happened, Mirela's jury 3rd place meant it went down to the jury overrule on a tie! Iconic scenes but I am gutted for Mirela after what was easily the best performance on the night, you could tell it meant so much to her too. Manel is nevertheless a good entry, but his performance was nervous and if he repeats that in Kyiv he'll struggle severely. There is potential with it however!
February 11, 20178 yr Author I can't quite shake the feeling it was a bit of a set-up, two jurors out of three putting Manel first and Mirela last when all she needed was to come 5th rather than 6th with one of them to win. Even the female juror said her favourite was LeKlein but voted for Manel anyway. I'm just bitter I know but for it to go exactly the way I expected it could go was a bit surprising!
February 11, 20178 yr Author In fact those two jurors voted identically except for one slight difference which ensured LeKlein wouldn't get in range either in case of a televote victory for her!
