I still would have loved to seen the full voting results for both initial and Gold Finals.

If I were the Norwegian delegation I'd be booking the plane back to Oslo for the 12th May, get in nice and early with the cheap tickets x

I don't think any of the 10 songs would have made it to the final, but at least we choose the best of the evils

Really didn't expect Norway to choose this!

 

But it was one of only about three songs I could remember from this lineup after the first listen, so they certainly could have done worse. I like it tbh, good chorus!

How are they getting around the on trend vocal effect at the end of the chorus? Surely it's not seen as part of the instrumental, it's clearly vocals processed through some sort of 'Spotify smash' filter that obviously can't be recreated live.

They've asked the EBU if they can change the rules to allow them to have the processed vocals on track and the proposal will apparently be discussed by the reference group. If it isn't allowed then apparently they have a backup version of the song that presumably gets rid of the vocal effects like Poli had to do with the "chipmunk" sounds in If Love Was A Crime.

 

(I have a feeling they'll allow it, the EBU seem to be getting increasingly relaxed)

Yeah I'd lean in favour of allowing them if they're used in the vein of an instrument like in Grab The Moment because it isn't really giving them an unfair advantage like a "helpful" backing track for vocalists who aren't particularly strong.

They are performing an 'acustic'/grand piano version on a norwegian talk show on saturday.
