Poor vid... I don't mind the song, it's a nice little tune. ^_^ But after listening to it quite a bit for a few weeks it's wearing thin with me now.
I like it. It's a Lucie song. Thanks for the vid.

I'm just glad no one mentioned the mad guy at the front who kept shouting in their reviews! :P

I thought the song was bland when I first heard it, but its grown on me. I believe Mercury know what they're doing as they did a good job with the last album.

If you go to www.lucie-silvas.net you can hear 5 songs from the new album in full, including the next two tentative singles 'Sinking in' and 'Place to hide'

The songs have been removed due to hackers :(

Saw the video for this on B4. I was quite underwhelmed in all honesty, I expected a much better video for her first single off the new album and I didn't think the track was up to much either. Shame really since I loved Breathe In.

I thought the exact same to be honest.

I'm sure I'll love the new album but the debut single for The Same Side seems just so flat or underwhelming.

Hmm...its quite a good song but I can see it missing the top 20 in all honesty...comeback singles should be stronger than this...

Yes well we can have a topic about her in there - the more the better in my mind! :cheer:
I dont think its one of her best :( loved first 4 debut single

everyone keeps saying it's not as good as WYMO ... but if she just replicated WYMO for the comeback, wouldn't people just say she wasn't producing fresh enough songs?

I know there's stronger stuff on the album, and I probably wouldn't have chosen this as the first single, but I trust Mercury, and I think the angle is not going for anything too spectacular, just good down-to-earth songwriting and talent, without the need for flashy devices to make up a song.

Hope it does well.

People aren't saying they want another WYMF but something as GOOD as it, i.e. quality. This song isn't quality and it sounds as if Mercury have made a mistake if you ask me becuase LY wouldn't/hasn't persuaded me to buy TSS.

I refuse to say Mercury made a mistake with this. I did that a few weeks ago and ended up offending Lucie!

We had our first fight!

Well I think you'll win the argument when 'Last Year' charts :kink:.

But isn't WYMO sort of Lucie's theme tune? Although I like a couple of the new songs more, I think it'll always be the song people associate with her ... so nothing will ever be good enough?

If that makes sense :s

I agree, What Your Made Of will always be the one song associated with Lucie. The new album sounds so different and Lucie has grown in so many ways.

I was so surprised when I heard Last Year would be the first single (Andrew will tell you all I rang him up and was gobsmacked literally). But now I see why it was one of the best moves. Last Year is a gorgeous track and so much effort was put into it and it sounds so beautiful live.

Having heard 10 out of the 13 album tracks now it's a stunning album. If it's not a success then obviously something crucial went wrong which I pray it doesn't because I couldn't watch Lucie in that sort of turmoil.

Well... music week love it. And its number 7 on the radio growers chart with a month til its release so fingers crossed.

Lucie basically told me (when we made up  ) to not doubt her and Mercury as they have a plan! :o

They always have a plan. *loves them*

Eee even Victoria Newton likes the single!

Agreeeed ... it was indeed a gobsmacked moment!! There was silence over the phone for like 5 mins, haha!
