I've been loving Maggie's serene pop music lately. You may already know "Alaska", the song that shot her to prominence, the new single "Dog Years" is every bit as good, reminds me a little of what HAERTS were doing a while ago. Great stuff so far!

 

 

 

Loved 'Alaska' a few months ago. She's dreamy.

Both of those songs are really quite good! Someone to keep an eye on I think.

She's got a touch of Imogen Heap to her voice, Alaska is beautiful, I love to hear an album from her.

Her major-label debut album is called Heard It In A Past Life and it's going to be released on January 18. It includes her latest single "Light On", as well as "Alaska", "On + Off", "Fallingwater" and "Give a Little".

 

I didn't realize it's only her debut album! 'Light On' is incredible and the other singles are great too, so I have high hopes for this.

She released independently two albums (The Echo in 2012 and Blood Ballet in 2014), hence the reason why I wrote 'major-label debut album'. However, as you said, this is something I didn't know as well when I was looking for information though~

I have this on pre-order, I really love Light On and enjoyed all the previous singles too so have kind of high hopes for this album.

I have Heard It In A Past Life on repeat. It's really good and worth the wait to be honest.

Great album, especially The Knife, Alaska, Fallingwater and Light On :wub: Her voice is gorgeous.

I was disappointed with this on first listen but everything has subsequently grown and now I'm really enjoying it. Highs for me are, well actually pretty much everything to be fair.

Debuted at #2 in the US, I really must give this a listen as I really enjoy On & Off!
