Steve201s Christmas Chart 19th - 25th December 2016

Ok, I don't post my charts on here often because I don't get the time but here's this years Christmas Chart - My favourite Christmas song I Believe in Father Christmas finally makes it to the top of my chart at Christmas due to the news of Gregs death at the beginning of December which sees it sale to the top with a huge increase in sales to become the Christmas no1 for 2016. Not far behind is a song from the Christmas chart in 1984 which has hugely grown on me since Gab Aplins version in 2012 (which was the Christmas no1 on my chart back then too). Other Xmas tracks include Leonard Cohen and Bing/Bowie due to their untimely deaths this year with Hallelujah being in my chart since November but peaking only this week. the top 10 also includes the annual Killers Christmas track which is a reworking of the famous Frank Sinatra 1943 release and Bing also did a version himself so he has two songs linking him to the top 10 and finally this years John Lewis track which peaked at No2 last week One Day I'll Fly Away.

Former no1 Love my Life by Robbie Williams falls to no3 this week but increases his sales and future contenders for the top zoo in January look like being from Sundara Karma, Circa Waves, Emeli Sande, Alessia Cara & Alma!
