Wonderful to see Gary Barlow selling almost 730,000 sales of Since I Saw You Last and almost 200,000 ahead of the most recent album by Take That.
Too slow to get the refunded 600 copies joke in there

The greatest hits thing I think pink is most recent released to sell consistent most haven't faired so well

It is cool though that if the artist is big enough they can consistently sell trickles

The Killers' GH is even more recent but was floating around the top 100 almost 2 years after release.

30. GREATEST HITS- Bon Jovi (16-30-31-29-31-31-30) 1,047,500

29. BORN TO DIE- Lana Del Rey (33-27-27-29-29) 1,064,700

28. 1989- Taylor Swift (33-28) 1,092,600

27. IN CASE YOU DIDN’T KNOW- Olly Murs (34-19-18-21-24-27) 1,106,400

26. IF I CAN DREAM- Elvis Presley (37-26) 1,106,900

Taking 5 years to do it Bon Jovi’s “Greatest Hits” becomes their first million seller in over 20 years, it’s also in the top 10 in this list in terms of weeks spent in the charts- consistency. Making gains in a much smaller timeframe are Elvis Presley and Taylor Swift who are top 30 on less than half that time, and it’s album No 3 for Olly Murs.

25. PURPOSE- Justin Bieber (70-25) 1,123,000

24. BABEL- Mumford & Sons (47-21-22-25-24) 1,131,100

23. UP ALL NIGHT- One Direction (41-23-19-20-23-23) 1,132,900

22. HALCYON- Ellie Goulding (51-26-22-22) 1,172,300

21. WANTED ON VOYAGE- George Ezra (57-21-21) 1,182,900

Frustratingly it looks like George Ezra has run out of sales just as it was about to enter the top 20 of the decade! We’ll have to wait and see if the same happens to Justin Bieber whose “Purpose” drives up the chart 45 places (two less than Glynne) but still needs another 100,000 to make the top 20 but his turnaround remains remarkable. Elsewhere the best sellers for Ellie Goulding and One Direction appear but the first of two Mumford & Sons albums to be here rebounds taking advantage of poor year’s for Olly Murs.

Great for Ellie! I hope it goes 4x platinum one day

How much has Halcyon Days sold since the last update?

Just under 60k :D

Poor George! So close to 4x Platinum!
Pink, Jess Glynne, Arctic Monkeys and Bruno Mars all in one update, I own all of those. Hopefully they'll all push pass a million eventually.

Bruno, Arctic Monkeys and Jess definitely will, the latter two absolutely later this year. Only 5,800 for Bruno (that's only 112 copies a week), so he'll probably get there soon too actually.

20. LUNGS- Florence & The Machine (8-11-16-17-19-20-20) 1,224,800 (T/S 1,740,600)

19. WHO YOU ARE- Jessie J (19-14-14-16-18-19) 1,279,900

18. TEENAGE DREAM- Katy Perry (15-12-15-16-18-19-18) 1,283,900

17. RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME- Olly Murs (48-15-15-17-17) 1,350,700

16. DEFAMATION OF STRICKLAND BANKS- Plan B (5-8-12-13-14-16-16) 1,373,600

One of the consequences of the poor year for album sales is that the top 20 remains rather stale. These 5 have all been on this survey for at least 5 years and their campaigns are well and truly over, Olly Murs and Florence + The Machine doing the best in 2016, and of course Katy Perry slips past Jessie J.

15. MYLO XYLOTO- Coldplay (13-11-11-12-15-15) 1,512,900

14. SIGH NO MORE- Mumford & Sons (10-10-13-12-13-14-14) 1,533,300 (T/S 1,685,300)

13. THE FAME/ MONSTER- Lady Gaga (3-5-9-10-11-13-13) 1,551,000 (T/S 2,940,000)

12. DOO WOPS AND HOOLIGANS- Bruno Mars (9-8-9-9-12-12) 1,719,200

11. 19- ADELE (xx-6-6-8-10-11-11) 1,773,600 (T/S 2,350,300)

Pretty much the same here with no movement at all though somewhat predictably Adele the best out of them in 2016. Even taking into consideration her total sales of “19” it’s still her poorest seller- incredible, and it’s also in the top 10 in terms of wks in the top 10 this decade by albums featured here. The release of “Joanne” did little to push her back catalogue and Lady Gaga can only dream of those kind of numbers occurring again, meanwhile Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Mumford & Sons are all here with their decade bests.

Adele's 19 should be about 30k (or one years sales) away from a place in the top 60 of all time then.

The only risk to her being kept out that I can see is Ed's ÷

19 has the luxury of streaming sales though. It will need many more pure sales to overtake Automatic for the People.

Thanks! Should go platinum this year then

It's already 3x platinum though.

Kind of incredible and yet sobering to see so many old albums remain standing here, I mean, surely no one would have called Plan B to be in the top 20 of the decade even though he started at #5 and yet he's probably locked for top 30 if not staying in the bracket he is for decade-end.
