That's the lowest rating it's ever received opposite BGT. Strange to think that last year's Monday clash received 5.71m. Hate to see what it'll get by Friday! Hard to properly compare BGT and Corrie with last year as the semis and Corrie's 9pm episodes started on Sunday, not Monday. I believe the BGT ratings were tape-checked but the Corrie ones were not: Sunday 2016 Britain's Got Talent - 8.70m (40.0%) Coronation Street - 7.15m (32.3%) Britain's Got Talent Results - 6.55m (31.4%) Monday 2016 Britain's Got Talent - 7.25m (35.1%) Coronation Street - 7.08m (32.3%) Britain's Got Talent Results - 5.98m (28.5%) So BGT was a bit down on the Sunday episode of last year but over 1m up on the Monday episode of last year, whilst Corrie is on the up either way. This is what Corrie got for the full week: 22 May: 7.15m (32.3%) 23 May: 7.08m (32.3%) 24 May: 6.83m (33.5%) 25 May: 7.55m (37.3%) 26 May: 7.79m (37.4%)
May 30, 20178 yr Considering the bank holiday weekend, good weather and the overrunning football, I am VERY pleased with those Doctor Who ratings! Had been expecting muuuuch worse for this episode in fact.

Almost a 2 million drop for BGT from yesterday, although, year-on-year, the drop isn't that bad, as the Tuesday show last year rated 6.92m. The results show rated the exact same. Corrie continues to outperform last year.
May 31, 20178 yr EastEnders ratings are so low, i knew ratings were down but not this low. That said, it is to be expected, i call myself a fan of the show but it is in dire straits at the moment.

BGT improves nicely on yesterday but is down on the 7.55m/6.51m that watched the Wednesday show last year. Corrie is 50k up year-on-year.

Corrie almost doubled Eastenders' rating! :o That's Corrie highest rating since 4th January 2016 when it rated 8.23m (36.0%). Will be interesting to see if it can better its rating again tonight. BGT performance show is 770k down on the Thursday show of 2016, but tbf this was the last semi final so may have received a bit of a boost. Despite Eastenders crap rating, it was still 4m eating into BGT's audience and BGT rated 5.28m during the clash.
June 3, 20178 yr Author Friday 2nd June BBC 1 19:00 The One Show - 2.73m (16.6%) 20:00 EastEnders - 4.32m (21.4%) 20:30 Question Time: Leaders Special - 3.80m (18.2%) [Peak: 15 minute peak - 4.20m (20.0%)] 22:00 BBC News at Ten - 4.01m (22.9%) -x- 22:40 The Graham Norton Show - 3.12m (26.0%) ITV (inc. +1) 19:00 Emmerdale - 5.36m (34.0%) 19:30 Britain's Got Talent - 7.04m (36.7%) [Peak: 8.25m (38.7%)] 21:00 Coronation Street - 7.66m (35.0%) 21:30 Britain's Got Talent Results - 5.78m (27.6%) [Peak: 6.75m (31.8%)] 22:00 ITV News at Ten - 2.29m (13.3%) Channel 4 (inc. +1) 21:00 Gogglebox - TBA [Exc. +1: 1.66m (7.8%)] -x- BGT Semi Finals averaged 6.65m, down on the 6.93m of 2016's semis. The performance shows averaged 7.17m (down on 2016's 7.55m) and the result shows averaged 6.12m (down on 2016's 6.30m). Shame that Corrie couldn't improve on Thursday's rating (although Friday's ratings might not be tape-checked) but still very strong. This week averaged 7.55m which is up on last year's, albeit not tape-checked, 7.28m average.
June 3, 20178 yr Author What are people's predictions for the Manchester concert on Sunday? I feel like it could actually get over the 10m mark in the ratings; it just feels like event TV and everyone felt the impact of the happenings in Manchester so will want to tune in for respect or to come together. I feel like it'll certainly peak over 10m, if not the average.
June 3, 20178 yr With BGT now out of the way I think at least 10m average, maybe even as high as 13m. The peak will probably be not much more because I imagine the audience will be sustained throughout rather than tuning in for a particular moment.
June 3, 20178 yr Author I keep thinking back to the Diamond Jubilee Concert in 2012, which I've just researched averaged 14.68m (57.4%) and peaked at 16.86m (65.4%) in the final moments. I suspect the Manchester Concert will have a pretty sustained audience too, but audiences usually do rise towards the end when something is broadcasted over a few hours.
June 4, 20178 yr One hand the lack of competition means it should mop up the casual audience but then it felt much more youth orientated than TV broadcasted concerts in the past, so I wonder how many of the older people stuck with it. Either way, I'm hoping for a HUGE figure tomorrow morning! With Bake Off on Channel 4, we could have rating of the year potential with this.
