I did expect higher but I suspect it'll be a huge time-shifter and grow as the series progresses - the finale to Series 1 rated 7.80m (36.4%), although that was boosted by the 13m that watched the Bake Off finale just before, too.
September 6, 20177 yr Good to see EastEnders back to where it should be and a decent return for Doctor Foster with a much smaller lead in this time!
September 6, 20177 yr Apparently, it appears that a lot of people switched over to Doctor Foster at 9, then returned to Channel 4+1 to finish Bake Off!
September 10, 20177 yr 8.8m was the average for Strictly last night with a peak of 9.5m which is impressive!

September 12, 20177 yr Author Eastenders did very well last night! I wonder if it can retain much of this audience now with Autumn here! Wasn't expecting it at all! Last year's big September week (w/c 5th September, Grant's return, Ben/Jay's kidnap etc.) received ratings of 6.23m - 6.14m - 6.03m - 5.8m and the Monday episode from the following week received 5.88m, which makes last night's rating quite impressive.

September 18, 20177 yr Very shocked at how Even Better Than The Real Thing did! Was expecting Pitch Battle ratings and, if it sustains those ratings, it'll be more popular than Take Me Out aka Paddy's other show! That's awful for Cold Feet though!! :o don't know why they've shoved it on a Friday night.
September 18, 20177 yr I think Even Better Than The Real Thing is a one-off and a Christmas special, so might have done enough for a series depending on the Christmas special!
