To be honest, I always assumed the 6 Chair Challenge was part of the reason for X Factor's decline. It just seemed unnecessarily brutal and unenjoyable. Next week's Saturday edition of X Factor could do well as it starts just as Strictly ends!

Meanwhile, Liar ends on a high and received a series average of 5.75m - the second highest average of a drama this year, behind Broadchurch. I believe it has already been commissioned for a second series.
