December 8, 20177 yr it's barely managed low top 40, thought havana would have made her a bigger name
December 8, 20177 yr I think it's more to do with it being the festive period where everything gets swamped with Christmas songs, people aren't here for new music really, it's annoying.
December 8, 20177 yr not sure, if she had gained many many new fans, she'd easily would have gone top 10 on itunes on a thu afternoon
December 9, 20177 yr Yeah i’d have held off till Jan 1st if I were her team because were about to hit the xmas freeze. The only new music that’ll impact now is Eminem.
December 9, 20177 yr The two new songs aren't doing much for me. :( The nicotine/heroin/morphine line in Never Be The Same is very grating sounding (herroweeen!), and the song as a whole isn't particularly memorable - a huge step down from Havana. I honestly think Crying in the Club, OMG & I Have Questions are stronger than Never Be The Same and Real Friends, so it's a shame she/the label has opted to not include them on the album.
December 22, 20177 yr Tracklist from Camila on Twitter: 01 Never Be The Same 02 Alll These Years 03 She Loves Control 04 Havana 05 Inside Out 06 Consequences 07 Real Friends 08 Something's Gotta Give 09 In The Dark 10 Into It
January 12, 20187 yr Hmm... It's a solid effort, but I kinda wanted/expected more. But anyway, early highlights for me are 'She Loves Control', 'Inside Out' and 'Into It'. I hope once I become more familiar with the songs, the album will feel better/stronger for me. So far I'd probs rank it about 3/5
January 12, 20187 yr So far listening, feeling like She Loves Control would make an amazing Spring/Summer single. But I'm really struggling to get Spotify to work tonight, so that's as far as I got. EDIT: Also liked Inside Out ALOT, single material for sure will go off in clubs. Also feeling like Crying In The Club would have made the perfect track 11 on this album. January 12, 20187 yr Yeah this is kinda disappointing :( Perhaps it needs more listens but it's really missing the omitted tracks, as I'd rank Crying in The Club above them all and love the others too. It's not like that are so drastically different they wouldn't fit... The two singles, Into It, She Loves Control, Real Friends and Inside Out are great but the remaining few are a bit samey for me.
January 12, 20187 yr This is really good  I don't really feel it was necessary to leave out the tracks she left out, but I also don't really miss them :P And I can just choose to play CITC, IHQ & OMG after the album if I feel like it  Am I wrong in saying that Camila, Ariana, and Dua are becoming the new Rihanna, Katy, and Lady Gaga? Those seem like the most obvious parallels, obviously Dua is unlikely to wear a meat dress, and Camila will need a few more hits under her belt, but 2018 is looking to be a good year for these ladies
