Why are they still trying to get us to feel sorry for Whitney? I haven't liked her since she almost left Lee after finding out he cheated. Since then she's been man-dependent, whiny, pointless and been on a mission to undo everything suffragettes died for. She can't leave Mick short staffed? But she could watch Tracey get the sack?

And f*** off with your 'family comes first' Kathy. Like anyone can take that seriously when it comes from your mouth...

When are we going to have a Honey, Shirley and Denise only episode?

Yeah that new couple are ok but there was just no point to axing Pam and Les and then introducing these two, apart from the fact they are more established actors. That isn't to say every old couple has to be Pam and Les but with the whole secret thing they're framing, like when Pam was revealed to have "murdered" Lawrie or whatever he was called, and Les was Christine.

I suppose with their family could bring more dimensions to them, a proper family rather than just a plot device grandson like Paul for the Cokers. But there's just limited things you can do with a older married couple of nearly 60 years who are so stable, other than them just sort of being nice in the background like Pam and Les most of the time, and they served that purpose just fine. I'm sure this gun they have will amount to nothing unless they're gonna make him a gangster pensioner

Also Whitney can stay gone. I think she'd be my #1 axe right now along with Jack. I know a lot of characters need storylines but she's really coasting imo, there's nothing really left for her and she's so dried up. She could do with Bianca, Tiff and Morgan back but I doubt Patsy Palmer would return. I don't don't see where she'd go from here.

Even though the character's been awful this year, I still find myself low-key liking Whitney. Shona's a strong actress and I don't see why there couldn't be good material left for her. I think they need to stop this "dirty girl" thing they keep doing with her - I totally understand that what Whitney went through with Tony and Rob is going to stick with her for life and keep popping up, but having every storyline revolve around it will just wear the character out, much like what has happened to Kat at times.

It's funny how the likes of Whitney and Denise were crying out for a solid storyline yet SOC has overexposed them with bad material.

Shona is a great actress but I just can't like Whitney anymore. She went back to Lee after he cheated, I could sort of understand that especially since she was pregnant at the time. But then she instantly morphed into a 1950s housewife buying herself stuff because Lee got a massive job in 'the city' that she and the rest of the stupid family never actually asked him about in all that time. Then she had the gall to be all 'but ah nevah arsked for none of it!' when she realised how her depressed husband had been making ends meet. She told him to man up and that he wasn't as good as his dad and had a little smirk evertime Mick said 'he don't deserve you, Whit'. Then once he's gone she weasels her way into his family home and mopes about complaining that Lee is getting on with his life when really she hasn't made a single move of her own to do the same thing and is eyeing up Mick's d. She doesn't mind seeing Tracey kicked out the Vic cos despite having several childcare qualifications she can't see Mick's willy from a nursery.

Shona is a good actress but my goodness the writing is dire.

I kind of need both Jack and Mick killed off asap tbh. Mick's moping is a particular lowlight at the moment. Whining that Linda is caring for her sick mother and moaning about how family should come first after the way he treated Lee and Nancy. It doesn't help that this storyline is highlighting the fact that Danny Dyer is completely out of his depth.
Michelle awkwardly squeezing herself on to the tube was giving me life.

The random outside the square scenes are starting to bug me. I liked it at first a few here and there as of course there is life outside of Albert Square but now it seems they putting them in all over the place. We never would of seen Martin and Stacey go to an appointment before just leave and come back then Michelle to randomly get on as well it felt like a Final Destination scene where all ending up in same place and time before disaster strikes and the random nose bleed guy on the tube who then looked as Michelle walked away, I'm fully expecting him to manage to find her and be a 'love interest' or that was just pointless. Then the random scene in the cafe with newpamandles with that old neighbour was like a filler just to mention the newmillers family arriving in few weeks, I keep even forgetting they are a new couple I just think they a random extra scene filler.

I've gone from watching all the time and from even recording it to now if I miss a few episodes I'm not even bothered cos nothing ever happens anymore. I'm really hoping the new family of trash bring a lot of life into the square for a few weeks and not just arrive and few episodes later all quiet and settled.

BUt it makes sense - they live in London, a huge city, and we never see it!

The new oldie couple, they seem a bit pointless, it feels like they are filling in for the Cokers, I think the guy has got some beef with Phil from one of his dodgy dealings in the past with one member of his sons (hence the gun scene). I'm sure Phil is due back soon.

Abi slaying all bases. Says it all that she's the only one recommending boundaries for the brats.

It was nice to see Charlie's wife but I can't believe they've wasted the opportunity to have Mrs Doyle return to make tea.

I was screaming when Kim said she gets so bored with Pearl that she 'pretends to do housework'. Qween.

Trailer for the Taylors who arrive next week:

They even turn up the same way as The Millers did!

Did they have to keep mentioning Shabnam? Do we really need to pick at that scab?
